Doesn't St. Louis still have a Boeing production plant that was formerly the McDonnell-Douglas Aviation plant?
This is a major development that could boost Kansas City's profile in manufacturing for decades to come.

Mainstreet is moving slow. Huge amount of change orders and variations on the ideas by AMC. They did not have the plan worked out fully before construction started. Be assured, this will definitly not be your ordinary AMC. There was also a great deal more structural work. It will be late fall ...

Re: Market Station
I wonder if they took "Market" from the River/City Market, and the "Station" from the Grand Central Railway station that used to be 2nd and Wyandotte. I send them an email awhile back reminding them that a rail station used to be at the site. The photos are from 1890. http://www....

Re: Could the P+L be a flop?
I don't think the West Bottoms will be anything but industrial for years to come. There might be a smattering of art galleries down there in some of the old buildings because they provide large expanses of cheap space. But I don't see anything new being built there unless it's industrial. Why? Bec...

Re: chrizow ---> NYC
I'd stick with your NYC friend's recommendations for restaurants/bars, because NYC is always changing. New Yorkers know the best places to go. I'd also stick with Manhattan because there's so much to see there that you don't want to get over-stretched. Four or five days is not enough to see Manhat...

I don't imagine the people in expensive homes in Sunset Hill and Loose Park are going to allow the Plaza to ever become a bar district like P&L. They have read in the paper about the complaints homeowners have with Westport's nightlife.
