It was TWA’s mistake and there’s no way the city should’ve been on the hook for that screwup. I can’t imagine how anyone could have an inch of sympathy for the airline in this scenario

A design TWA mandated and then told the city to rebuild it. City said no and I absolutely cannot blame them.

While I’m as disappointed as anyone about the architecture, I’d take a boring design with a smooth development over a complex design with delays and lawsuits any day

This might be the first modern architecture I’ve ever seen proposed or built in nashville that I actually kinda like. It’s not a glass cube, so that alone is a step up

Stadiums need to be reserved for locations where they won’t damage the grid. Places like washington park or Berkley that are sprawling enough to handle a structure like that
