Re: Date Night Restaurant Ideas

Those are all good suggestions. We went to Republica on the Plaza and were a bit underwhelmed. Hit the Reiger after for drinks and dessert. Great atmosphere, as always but they need to work on their dessert menu. Will try Voltaire and Jjs. I always assumed Webster House was a bit antiquey. Wrong?

Re: Westport's fate post-P&L

There is the start of a huge redevelopment of Main St. It won't look the same in 10 years.

Re: 1640- BNIM HQ

The problem I see is that the cost of development is bloated because of the green aspects. The city is basically paying for the rebuilding of the property and the owner is just paying for outlandish wind turbines and water reclaimation. Those add on items don't help the city. If the client wants the...

No cuisine preference. We normally go to The Reiger or Extra Virgin or Julian. Need to switch it up.

Date Night Restaurant Ideas

Looking for a few new restaurants for a weekend night out, someplace you can be semi- dressed up. Any hidden gems? DT to Plaza preferable.

Re: Hilton Home2 Suites Hotel - 20th & Main

Yes, strip that building to the concrete and make it tie better to US as a hotel. With all the activity at US, connection to CC by link and access to the streetcar, it would be very popular. Right now, I hate how it tKes away from US. It shouldn't have been built in the first place.

Re: Hilton Home2 Suites Hotel - 20th & Main

If there really is demand for hotel space for the IRS building and businesses in U.S., I'd like to see a hotel redevelopment of the glass building that is connected to US. It's so ugly! Perhaps they could make the outside look more historic since it is right next to such an iconic building.

Re: Hilton Home2 Suites Hotel - 20th & Main

I'm more frustrated that it doesn't connect it's property on the south end with the Freighthouse District under the bridge. It's a great opportunity to continue the development to the East. Instead, they put a trash dumpster blocking the path from Lidia's to their hotel. Dumb.

Honestly, is that what it has come to? If you make a lot of money, it's OK to have your reputation sullied, the quality of your job performance brought into question, your credibility destroyed for absolutely no reason at all. Yes, that is what it has come to. The anti-1% mob is out for blood. They...

I still don't understand this story. So, the President got ousted because of a poop swastika and some guys in a truck yelling the n-word who might not have even been students at the University. Was it more than that?
