I did not hear even one point by the "non-hub" people that was backed up by facts. So far the only bad thing i got for making KCI a hub is that it would cost too much and that it would violate the convenience of KCI. The burden of proof is on you as I see it. You want KC to build a huge a...

as dangerboy said, I don't see those as true positive points...your opinion maybe but nowhere near the benefit that would outweigh the costs. Ask Denver about building a hub, they are now being threatened by United to leave DIA totally, which would leave them with a huge brand new airport half empty...

Thanks. I fail to see how KC's redevelopment is any less signficiant because our downtown is more broadly defined? If it makes you feel any better, I'm fairly certain KC could tally up over $3B in development that has started or is now proposed since 1999 in that same 2.91 sq. mile. boundary. Would ...

once again I'll ask....what are the official boundaries of downtown STL.metrobuddy wrote:Downtown KC also encompasses way more territory (geographically speaking) than Downtown STL. Downtown STL has so many small and large projects happening.

I think you have failed to show us why it would be a positive to have a hub at KCI. Telling us that everyone else is doing it doesn't really sway many people.
Could you give us what hub is in each of those cities? Thanks.

Anybody want to get together and do a downtown group photo shoot? I love just walking around downtown but will only take pictures if the streets are completely dead....I guess I'm not one to look like a tourist in my own city. So I just end up walking around taking in everything w/o photos. I figure...

Dallas' airport is very similiar in layout.
We're the only major city w/o a hub? that would be incorrect.
Check out STL flight prices vs. KC flight prices...both middle of the country and you'd be hard pressed to find a cheaper flight out of STL than KCI.

Bustling downtown feel
Walking around during lunch today I finally started to get that feeling. I think it had to do with so much construction going on everywhere and actual people. If anybody wants to get some good downtown street pictures with people in them, I recommend tomorrow at lunch...it will be warm and there is ...

So here are some pros to becoming a hub (building a new airport): More flights would come in and out of KCI I don't see this as a pro. We have plenty of flights as it is. Kansas City will become more well known Known because of being a hub? Nah. Maybe they could get great national pub like the hub ...

Immediate death penalty. Great answer. Because we all know our judicial system never ever makes a mistake. Think about it for a second. The reasoning behind such a harsh penalty would be to deter crime from happening. If you could be put to death for commiting any crime, who in their right mind wou...

I'll take a beating of Denver and Oakland any day...especially after Sebastian was waving bye to the crowd after his field goal.
