Re: this is so funny

And neither does Vegas.  Read it and weep, Catbacker: KU, MU at 100-1 How about this: A sports gambling outfit says KU has as good a chance at winning the BCS football title game as MU, considered in some circles as the Big 12 North front-runner. VegasInsider.com lists both the Jayhawks and Tigers ...

Re: Sports facilities you've visited

This is a great topic, although, I don't think I could begin to rank these as there are way too many different factors. Arrowhead Stadium - I don't know if I can add much to what has already been discussed other than to say that if I were an owner of a football team, I'd probably design the stadium ...

I've read somewhere around 10%.

Maybe everyone entering the Memorial should be put into a giant bubble, that way if anyone jumps or gets landed on, they'll just bounce around pain free.

How many of the concepts going into P&L or rumored to go into P&L cater to the after work/work lunch hour crowd? Chipotle, Gimme Sum, Jos A Bank, Latteland, Starbucks, CPK and some of the other ones that I don't even know what they are. I'm sure many people will hit up the real restaurants ...

Re: suicide at liberty memorial

It wouldn't be the first time. I advocate some limitations to humanity - such as, speed limits, and guard rails in between highways.  I-70 has cut their traffic deaths in 1/2 since they put in those middle guard rails.  That's hardly limiting to "freedom", and neither would a fence here. ...

Why do people insist on having storage in highly visible buildings downtown?

I wholeheartedly agree.

I don't understand why it would have cost much more than the way its done now but then again I'm not a public transportation expert.

We should erect 7' fences around every possible thing that anyone could jump off of to save someone from the one in a billion chance that a person falls to their death in front of them. That seems necessary.

Re: Big 12 play is upon us

If they had to forfeit - yes they are. However, OU has to "vacate" their wins. Which means they remove all wins they had - but don't have to take them as losses. And their opponents are free to remove those losses from the books - but not ad them on as wins. So, you're still 5-5 and not b...

Do we really need to change one of KC's most signature structure for something that has happened once in the last 13 years? It's a terrible thing that happened but I'm sure he would have found another way. It's not like there's a lack of things to jump off of in this town.

All of my friends at K-State that were in architecture school were from Missouri. It would have been easier for them to go to KU because it was closer but they went to K-State because the architecture program is better.

Re: Downtown location for Bo Lings?

They're putting together the tables for the outdoor patio and the gates are up. There were about 50 people hard at work when I walked by, looks like it should be open pretty soon.
