Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

Taxi, I also found a peer cities analysis from Denver of the Kansas City real estate market that claimed this for the downtown residential condo market: "Condominiums in Kansas City are averaging $350-$400 per square foot--22." Found on page 15 of the analysis. The footnote refers to a Do...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

How about no stops? People could just hop on as it goes by, like they did in the good old days.

Speaking of which, here is a pretty cool film that was shot days before the big SF earthquake and resulting fires:

Re: OFFICIAL: West Edge development

That auction occurred during a very difficult time, as far as lending and real estate goes, and there are few buyers around that can pay cash, whi...

Re: OFFICIAL: West Edge development

PS did not buy the building or any of it, they are merely lessees. When you have more than a billion dollars, like past and present owner Mr. Van Tyle, you can do whatever you want. Which, invariably, does not include burning money. All of these cats are spending money, scratching each others' backs...

Re: OFFICIAL: West Edge development

Most businesses aren't in the practice of burning good money, so we have to assume that there were design flaws that couldn't be overcome. Anyone who says that the old unfinished structure could not be adapted for reuse by lawyers or nearly anyone else has zero creativity and not much common sense.
