It isn't organized labor's problem that they tried to get the best deal for their workers that they could. People also forget that Korea, China, Japan, Germany, France, and the UK subsidize their auto industries in many ways.

Some of those countries provide health care for citizens, so the car companies don't have to do it, which has given them an unfair financial advantage over US auto companies.
