I'd say it's closer to $1000, not sure why they told her that...might double check my info.

dc...thanks. We do have an urban plan but in comparison to DC, you would probably disagree....no doubt we are the eastern most "western" city. This is one angle of so many businesses like sprint being in the burbs.....when they bring people in from outside the metro, they see mostly the bu...

condo insurance is much cheaper than homeowners I believe...I think it's more along the costs of renters insurance...at least ours was. no tax breaks on this property...I would think for the 1 bedrooms it would be about $1000 a year but they told my friend it could be closer to $2000....not sure how...

mainwood LLC is very friendly to the city hall if I remember right. Check out who owns most of the arena site.

nobody knows what is happening when the new developer takes control. Part of the sale was that Abbott demo the building.....the land is obviously more valuable w/o the building on it....hopefully something at least with this building's density will replace it.

well obviously they wanted Abbott to do it so it didn't cost them any money. Here is an aerial of the block http://www.kcskyscrapers.com/albums/KCpersonal/12thgrandaerial.jpg Law Building upper left, Lil' Jakes bottom left, couple buildings just south of law building. Here is something interesting a...

Thanks everyone for the replies. I moved here recently from Arlington VA (has one of the best visions and execution for urban development in the country, imho) and when I first arrived, all I knew was south Johnson Co, so imagine my relief to find great neighborhoods within the city and especially ...

I'm not arguing either side, just looked up information. I'd say it's closer to 15 now but that's simply a guess looking at how many new stadiums have opened since 99.
Still not a majority.

I'll leave it up to team owners to decide...nobody here has enough data to know for sure. If they want to try it, I say why not, can't hurt.

KU basketball: is there anything better?
missed my point. I'm saying although my ultimate goal is winning it all, it is obviously more fun to follow a program that wins and gets to final fours and elite eights at a good clip. That's why so many love to follow the hawks...bandwagon fans. Same with any team that succeeds. Maybe you should re...

obviously most "people" don't buy full season of courtside tickets...corps. do. If it can be done in smaller markets, it can be done here. A team couldn't just come in, throw a team on the floor and expect to succeed, but that is the same no matter what city the team is in.

KU basketball: is there anything better?
who I cheer for means nothing as to what I consider the ultimate goal....especially if my team was ranked #2 in the country. An elite 8 would not satisfy me. As I stated before, I'm sure the journey through the season is much more fun for a KU fan watching their team win than say a KSU fan watching ...

Chiefs Tix Prices - too high?
I am not sure where the Chiefs actually rank in ticket prices. I know I have heard 3rd, like you had mentioned, but I also know that some of those studies factor in only the ticket cost. The majority of season ticket holders in the NFL now also pay for a personal seat license . Many of these reanki...
