I didn't see anybody inside, but there was a pickle standing out front at lunchtime today handing out flyers (or menus).

Did the advertising specify a year or did they leave that part open-ended?

Add Hogshead to the list. Never got a chance to check it out, doubt I'll be able to before it's gone.

I noticed a few recently opened permits for this building. Maybe something actually is happening?

Sept is an oddball month, decreasing each year. Maybe that month happens to have fewer events each year.

Between Ren Fest, American Royal, and Plaza Art Fair, it's a lot of big events outside Streetcar coverage area.

Surface lots begone. But no details on what will be developed. https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2019/11/20/crossroads-arts-district-mixed-use-3d-development.html Looks like the two buildings to be demolished are nothing special. I don't think I've ever even noticed that the one at 2110 G...

Cityscene needs to figure out how to responsive design correctly. I practically have to sit on the opposite side of the office to read his articles on an actual computer screen.

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

I can't get on board with removing the North Loop stop. It doesn't get a lot of traffic at the moment, but if and when that sea of parking gets developed it should, and having the stop there would seem to incentivize said development to some degree. So I say keep it. Ditto. I actually use this stop...

Re: North Kansas City

Iron District's hours might be just as big a threat to its survival as opening just before winter. The hours are confusing... especially the bizarre gap on Saturdays. Then each individual vendor can set their own hours within those already limited and confusing hours. So there's really no clear way ...

Re: Pursuing FREE City-Wide Bus

^Given the number of out-of-towners I've talked to who decided NOT to go to Westport or the Plaza after learning the streetcar didn't go that far, I think this would be hugely successful as an interim solution. As you described, the key would be to make it as easy and clear as possible and you naile...

"...Ebenezer's Brewery & Wine Bar will be opening late 2019..." Given the bureaucratic and other delays that pretty much every other brewery has faced trying to open, "late 2019" translates to "sometime between April 2020 and never". That said, if all goes well they...

Clustertruck is a chain (albeit in only a few cities) and no one complained when it moved into the RM. I don't see Domino's as all that much different. The locals who love all the other great local pizza choices in the neighborhood aren't going to suddenly stop patronizing the local places just beca...
