Are we really worried about ‘wokeism’ when the former republican president sold state secrets and is a traitor?

Re: OFFICIAL - Waddell & Reed - 14th & Baltimore
I think a mixed use readaptation of their offices with residential could really liven up that area by Union Station. Could be a really good opportunity to get rid of some parking lots even if it’s slightly dissapointing that it’s not a new employer. However the old building could be used as affordab...

Would definitely be down for a gondola with a tower station, would be crazy futuristic. Should try to find city land where they could request proposals to develop mixed use towers

Re: Metro Multi-Family Construction
Does anyone think the KCMO should zone some high-density residential multiuse zones in undeveloped places in the Northland now before subdivisions are completely built out? This would be to intervene before the NIMBYs that will come are there to oppose it? Yes and create a high zone district around...

The world urban forum was just in Katowice which is a small city without great transport links. I think KC could definitely get it. Maybe we could coincide a big event with decommissioning the north loop

Would also be interested in seeing how we could set up a recurring summit similar to the world cities summit which focuses on good urbanism. Chris if you end up getting serious about trying to snag or start an event like this for Kansas City, I’m very willing to put time in to help

Welcome! Love the design, would love to see something like that get built there, would really be the next major step for the skyline.
Maybe you could shop it around a bit to see if there’s any takers

Would love to see us target the World Urban Forum, was able to join this year and was honestly fantastic. https://wuf.unhabitat.org/ As part of the bid, KC could position itself as a city wide test bed for urban innovation. If we go at it as a cohesive and thoughtful approach where the big names in...

Honestly I think Broadway is by far the biggest barrier to penn valley being a great park, however it also needs to be better integrated into the surrounding neighborhoods

Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?
Could definitely see KC gaining momentum with the World Cup, especially if it is used to effectively and finally shed its national image of a cowtown. Who knows with boom-towns though seems that they just need to hit a certain momentum which continuously catalyzes further development all down to tha...
