Re: Parlor - 1707 Locust

Re: Misc Crossroads News

not just stuart hall, also EBT and library lofts, all former "kc loft central" properties. interesting. the former owner appears to still be operating and even expanding with a couple new properties by tannin in 2020.

Re: Real Estate Listings of Interest (Metrowide)

real estate records on that one are a bit head-scratching, but that can't impact the asking price or value. 92 year old 4000 sqft brick home, maybe it needs a shit-ton of repointing.

Re: Downtown Buildings with Activity

i'm on loopnet a lot. this building has absolutely shown up on the "for sale" search before february 2020. that listing is there sometimes and it's not there others, similar to some of the large buildings north of 12th street in the west bottoms, the office/warehouses near SW blvd and wash...

i'd rather see that spot activated 7 days a week instead of 6. HAVING SAID THAT -- yes, absolutely, i'd take a CFA there. it's hard to imagine any change there being a downgrade.

Should be mandatory in college too, but then they would have to teach the wisdom/folly of student loans and college degrees. well as long as the colleges save the sunken cost fallacy for the 400-level class, they would probably make out just fine. mine offered personal finance but it met at 7:30 am...

curious to see how this applies to patios—something like brewery emperial or even leinenkugel's, where this time of year a substantial percentage of their customers are outside. if i were those businesses i'd be pissed if i had to effectively limit occupancy to a density of ~half my competitors just...

the SPARK work has been very shitty for the pedestrian experience on the NE corner of that intersection. leap of faith every time you poke your head past the entrance that some idiot isn't about to fly through with a right turn on red. also creates a choke point where peds haven't been able to even ...

Re: Closed Bars and Restaurants

Beignet is closing after 7 years at City Market. This is why I wish some local restaurant executive with a pulse on local restaurant runnings (Joyce) could warn us of potential closings. We could have all hit up Beignet and given some much needed CPR to keep it going in the short term. I know all r...

belfry is holding it down, basically the whole menu available, free 750mL bottle of beer if you spend $25 and i believe it counts even if alcohol helps push you over $25. they did their first run of brunch yesterday and we really enjoyed it, french toast breakfast sandwich w/ bourbon syrup and a veg...
