Direct from my email (SLHS): "Richard Liekweg, President and CEO of BJC, will serve as CEO of the integrated health system, with the initial Board Chair of the integrated system coming from Saint Luke's."

I'd have season tickets in a heartbeat if we got a hockey team; probably the same for NBA, but I think NHL has a higher likelihood. Just my $.02

In terms of this building being 500', how long does it usually take to get an approval from the FAA? I know it took forever for them to approve and collaborate with the city with the River Market buildings; should I assume it will take as long with this?

The details on this building are beautiful. I wish that new builds incorporated more detail/fret work. I know in the end, it's cost prohibitive, but damn if it isn't gorgeous.

Re: 12th and Broadway site: RFP for mixed use
So according to the tweet, there will be buildings, affordable housing, and offices...? Why then the shit plan for a pocket park and more parking? I'm kinda confused. How can you tweet that and then in the next month come up with what was given the other day?

I used to shop at that grocery store and it was low-tier at best. I now workout at that PFit and am happy. Once the weather gets nicer, I kinda want to explore some of those stores that are in that shopping center. Also, there's a dumpster outside of the Frontier School offices. Anyone know if they'...

Thank you for the in-depth discussion about affordable units! I actually learned a lot from this discussion. Hopefully others in our city will be able to see this (KC Star, KCT, etc...)

I don't drink anymore and haven't for almost 3 years now, but this is a place that I would frequent if it gets built. One of my favorite places to go in NYC is the beer garden under the Highline. I really hope this and the bridge park over The Kaw are as cool as their concepts.

Re: On-going downtown development projects
I think retail is a surprisingly vital element for consistent pedestrian activity. The Plaza is still the busiest I’ve ever seen anywhere in KC on random, non-event days. Downtown has added lots of residents and restaurants and such, but it seems like KC pedestrians only really come out when there’...

The Victoria's Secret/Pink space is 10,500+ square feet and the neighboring Bath & Body Works space is 2,900+ square feet. I haven't seen any permits/plans filed for these spots, but given the combined size it could be broken up into smaller spaces or go to one tenant. Zara stores are quite lar...

My partner and I actually went up in the one in STL. It was a cool experience, though I doubt if I would go back a ton of times. Visually, I would agree, there is a lot of impact. If it's a tourist drawl, so be it, just means there's more people downtown.

Did anyone clock the article in KCBJ saying that downtown could take on 8 MILLION sqft of new office space in the next 20 years? I'm not a subscribing member, so I'm not sure the details of the article. What is everyone's thoughts on this? I think it would be awesome and it would take luring of comp...
