Re: Summit on Quality Hill
The only thing I don't like about that rendering is the lack of doorways. There should be more places where people can enter and exit the street. The building already is made to look like rowhomes, why not make them actual rowhomes with individual doors for each building? They can still be flats an...

Re: We need a new airport!!!
http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-airports-2013/10 KCI checks in at number 9 on a list of America's worst airports. and the only complaints were shopping and food, give me a break. In the areas that actually matter to flyers, its easy to get in, check in, get through security,...

Re: Hilton Home2 Suites Hotel - 20th & Main
New hotel proposed for 20th & Main--if they can get rid of the billboard. http://www.kansascity.com/2014/04/04/4937684/hotel-vs-billboard-battle-in-crossroads.html#tnt_refhome ironically, billboards have been illegal in the city limits for a few years now. I'm sure they will find a way to get i...

Re: We need a new airport!!!
I've been to airports all around the US, and to airports in 8 other countries and MCI is by far my favorite and I think a new terminal is a horrible waste of money that will only raise fares and not attract any new business or flights to KC. The thing nobody talks about with MCI, if I am dropping of...

Re: Capping the Loop
I don't think the sunken freeways are a big deal, I live downtown and you barely notice the freeway when I cross the south loop and the northloop has a ton of vacant lots and parking lots that could be turned into parkland for much cheaper. The downtown highway I think needs removed is I35 between c...

Re: Jimmy John's to open Drive-Thru restaurant at 9th & Broa
as someone who lives less than 2 blocks from this, is there anything I can do to help block it? a petition to sign? I like to see more businesses coming to the area but I walk down this sidewalk regularly and I have safety concerns with distracted who will hit somebody while they are pulling their f...

Re: New Broadway Bridge
Not happening. There's not enough space to add 4 lanes around the northwest side of the airport and maintain the existing roads. Would require moving the river slightly to move the levy over The angle to miss I-70 also would run into airport flight paths or be a crazy steep bridge. you only need 2-...

Does anyone have info on these projects
I am new to the forum so I apologize if these have already been discussed. On the wikipeida page for KC towers, I was surprised to see several buildings listed in the 40-60 story range that I'd never heard of before. Are these all outdated projects? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_build...

Re: New Broadway Bridge
As someone who drives across the broadway bridge daily, the amount of pediastrian traffic walking down the median is dangerous. I think the Harlem area would be a great area to redevelop into middle class riverfront apartments/condos, you can sell it as family friendly and downtown since it is outsi...
