Cost of new NFL stadiums

I would rather see it downtown. As has been mentioned in aother thread, these type attractions need to be located in close proximity. Having the Sprint Center going in, and the whole P&L District, and the downtown revitalization in general, I think it makes more sense that a baseball field would...

Time to get serious about the stadium situation...

when i said KCMO shouldn't have complete control over all the regional attractions i wasn't talking about location, I was talking about the actual maintenance and construction costs etc. KCMO is the best location for regional attractions because it is the most central location of the region so it's...

Cost of new NFL stadiums

So, we have quite a few stadiums in that list around the $300 million mark, for a NEW, ground up, stadium? And some were wanting to pass Bistate II, to spend roughly the same amount of money to simply improve an existing stadium? Call me confused. In regards to ownership, are most football and baseb...

Which I don't understand. IMHO she was and is a weak opponent. That's why I drew my conclusion that no one wants the position. To not run against Barnes.....please.

Best cellular phone coverage in KC Metro

Since moving to KC, I've had three providers. In Wichita I was with Sprint PCS and had great coverage in the city. Outside the city, getting in to rural areas, I had no coverage. When I moved up here I kept Sprint thinking in its hometown the coverage would be phenomenal. The coverage for me was hor...

Christmas Lights....

The lighting at The Boardwalk appears to be permanent lighting (white lights outlining the buildings). Personally I don't expect any building outline lighting at ZR, but I'm sure there will be decorations put up on the light posts. I guess I could be happily surprised if they come up with some nicer...

Who should be the next Mayor of KCMO?

Will anyone run? I went through my first KCMO mayoral race after moving up here and was stunned at the lack of interest from anyone who I would consider a serious candidate. In Wichita, pretty much every mayoral race was hotly contested and seemed to be a position people strove to attain. Here, it h...

Wichita Arena Plan, Cordish, and Bass Pro

Looks like the arena is going to happen. Great news for my former hometown! Wish they could have done it while I lived there though. Congrats to "the `ta". My former hometown too. I lived my whole life there until Jan. 2001 when I moved to KC for a job opportunity. The Old Towne part of d...
