Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

The city did exactly what you’re saying. In 2020 they gave Van Trust a 10yr option to buy this land (still not executed) for a 2020 price in exchange for Van Trust pursuing and buying out the remaining parcel in EV. Van Trust said they have spent about $12 million consolidating parcels since that ti...

And the $135 million mark is to build just half of the proposed cap between the convention center and grand.

Re: Sporting Kansas City

I agree it will be tough for them to move to MO. KS built this last stadium for free with Star bonds. I’d love to see them do something like that but in downtown KCK, rosedale, or Armourdale. Open a downtown hotel and gambling district? Connect it to kcmo with a gondola.

Re: Sporting Kansas City

I have to say, the SKC crowds seem to be kind of lacking this year. Both in numbers and enthusiasm. Does the supporters section not sing and chant the whole time anymore?

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Attendance was 12k yesterday. Looked way less than 1/3rd full honestly. And they still ran out of dollar dogs by the 5th inning. What the hell Also the signage in left field really needs to be fixed. The “H” in Hall of Fame looks janky and above that the R in Royals is just gone. So it reads “oyals...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

He is from KC. And all the minority owners are from KC. Part of the reason Glass sold to them is because they are going to keep the Royals here. They aren't going anywhere.

It looks odd to me because its shorter than the buildings around it. Looks like it should be 3-5 stories taller

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal

Gotta say, this really is just user error for the back ups we are seeing. https://i.imgur.com/FfPSJgj.jpg And I will admit, I have literally done this at the old terminals because of how lax it was. People are used to being able to do this. This just reinforces the fact that this will get worked out...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal

Its only a $1 for the first 30 min. That’s reasonable. They definitely should have anticipated that KC people would continue their past habit of just parking at the curb to wait for the person they are picking up. Should have made some kind of PR campaign to say that is no longer acceptable and incr...

Re: NE Corner of 14th & Wyandotte (300 unit apartment)

The article mentions that they also submitted an accompanying traffic study that showed buildings at 10 and 20 stories as a possibility. Knowing KC, im sure thats where it ends up. Yeah but that's fine. Just getting that infill with ground floor activation and pedestrian activity from a hotel would...
