i'm pretty sure that isle of capri lags the other three casinos in KC by a pretty wide margin. i don't see them lasting beyond the paseo bridge makeover and this thing opening up... unless they plan rebuilding at another site in the interim.

dinner was well attended for the first night. i had the chorizo pizza with roasted red peppers, gorgonzola, and pesto. wines are reasonably priced and ordered on the menu based on intensity. the interior is fabulous. looks like they'll be open until 9 or 10.
