Do you think the airport just built up a huge pool of money and did nothing with it?

Re: We need a new airport!!!
I would have guessed that federal funds, airport fees and taxes inside the airport property for the last 30-40 years of the current airport would generate enough funds for a replacement on their own. Significantly increasing the airline fee would pass directly to me as the consumer. What would I get...

Re: We need a new airport!!!
Who knows. The number of flights go up and down now, as it is. With regards to taxes there are no tax funds involved. Only the users will pay for it. It was my understanding that existing user fees have been accumulating and can only be spent on the airport. This was a reason to rebuild a new airpo...

Will the city get more flights at the same current fares with no new taxes out of this new deal?

Re: We need a new airport!!!
Why don't we just have a completely secure terminal? Everyone coming in has to go through security: one would be a quick check line for those picking people up with no baggage. Remove the current security barriers and current 'non-secure' amenities & bathrooms would be open to those departing. M...

Re: Minimum Wage (Split from New Convention Hotel)
I don't really think everyone deserves a living wage. The living wage for a single parent of 3 in Jackson County is $30.90. Should anyone be able to work at Chipotle and make that? I don't think so. Does the minimum wage need to be increased? Yes, nationally.

As someone who spent many frustrating years I'm the food service industry I can confirm the jobs are not worth the pay. And if you think those who work in that industry shouldn't earn a living wage because the economy or because they're a lesser caste...go fuck yourself and never eat at a restauran...

How about take over the World Market building? Or, they could just go away. I went there for breakfast once and me and my whole party got sick as a dog afterward. Yeah, I'm still bitter.

Sale pitched 9 innings on 7/6 and 7 innings on 7/11. I hate Ventura and the White Sox as much as anything in baseball, but throwing one of the best young AL pitchers in an exhibition game on two days rest isn't necessary. You mean like Dallas Keuchel who also pitched 7 innings on 7/11 but started a...

Yeah, but it just seems slimy to ask. Every team is basically in the hunt in the AL. Why should they get to hold out their pitcher? I wish Nolan Ryan was available for another Ventura beat down.

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think his coach petitioned for him not to pitch. Chicago manager Robin Ventura said he wanted to be able to use him the rest of the season. That seems a totally ridiculous request from a last place White Sox team 11 games out of 1st. Everyone wants to play their players the rest of the season. Re...

Last time I was at the Sunfresh a lady ran through the door screaming that she had been maced in the parking lot. Helped her wash out her eyes but have never been back.
Trader Joe's messed up when they put that store at Ward Parkway. It should have been something like this Whole Foods.

It's so boring and cold. Lifeless. At least they could have brought it some warmth. Gray on black with very little light. They should have removed the Berlin Wall panels from the outside.
