Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
When will the streetcar authority purchase another vehicle? I remember seeing they were considering it.

Re: We need a new airport!!!
Anyone else see this as the push Missouri voters needed? I personally think more people would vote for a new airport if they knew there was even a slight chance of Kansas stealing that too.

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
Yesterday the City Market was packed solid like a weekend in July. Parking has become a real serious issue. Why isn't the city moving forward quickly with development of their properties on 5th St? Parking garages are needed yesterday as the surface lots are now barely making a dent in the need. Wi...

Re: Two Light - 14th & Grand
Looks like they are creating store fronts along Truman with a canopy at the corner of Walnut and Truman. The glass looks different from the One Light glass, too. Does it look like a more blueish-green color like on their website? Maybe that will be be how they make the buildings stand out from one ...

What visitors think of Kansas City
I had a conversation with someone last Sunday that made me smile, and I hope it will brighten your day too. While enjoying the afternoon downtown, I took the streetcar to Union Station to go to the Pompeii exhibit. After, I spent some time just looking around the building (it really does stand toe t...

Kind of back to actual building design, the green exterior: What is it? Is it ivy-covered, because if it was a type of wall-cover plant, that would be a lot cooler than a green textured exterior in my opinion.

Sporting KC moves HQ to new downtown location, 2020 Baltimore, assuming that this leaves the building next to the new Courtyard empty.

Re: When Downtown KC was a powerhouse - A must see for all
If anyone is interested, I've started a Google Photos album of the pictures I've snapped around KC. If there's any interest, I could turn it into a collaborative album and others could add their photos too. It would be kind of a cool way to document history in and around our city. https://goo.gl/pho...

KC Annexations
After reading about the new Armour development in NKC, I started to wonder why we have never tried to annex NKC. Would it not be mutually beneficial?

Could this area be an asset for Kansas City conventions? Would it even be within walking distance if the streetcar extended north via 9?

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC
Clay Chastain's ridiculous 26 mile streetcar expansion petition gains enough signatures and will go before the City Council. The Council has 60 days to decide what to do about it, but the deadline to put anything on the April ballot is January 19. This should allow plenty of time for the KCRTA to ex...

Re: Streetcar to the riverfront
Just been wondering, but are our current streetcar tracks compatible with more vintage streetcars? Based off the Urban Angle article which states a designated streetcar would probably need to service the Riverfront Park, would a single vintage car not be good enough for that spur? This is just and a...
