Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
The second KC passes funding I hope NKC updates their TDD to expand the system north There's thousands of jobs in NKC, there's more space given to jobs than people, and the system could use funding from a second city. This would also help with bus service costs. there's something like 5 or 6 lines g...

Re: Cerner West Campus, Village West
I thought that was cerner last time I was out there. Interesting spot for them. They must be putting a big sweeping entrance to Village West Parkway.

Re: IKEA may be coming to Merriam Village
An Ikea would be killer downtown.
And by downtown I mean put it on stilts like the Minneapolis store and put it next to I-35 at the Mo River.
the city's been wanting to redevelop that area.

Re: Construction near Dick's and Hy-vee in Liberty
Thinking backwards, I don't remember the triangle ever having a gas station. that area has always been light on gas stations period. One closer to Seaport and the one across from the old hyvee/new feldmans. Hopefully that helps with some traffic flow. keeping people heading out of Liberty from turni...

Yes I know Briarcliff well - I work in the Briarcliff Hilltop building. Hey, I work in the Hilltop building as well. I'm on 8. We've been here since day 1, we were either the first or co-shared for 1st being in the building back in 2008. I remember how much stuff was still not done and it was prett...

Re: Liberty Triangle
Not sure where you get that I'm routing people to a street by a school. I'm talking about widening Victory on the south side and Stewart on the north side and have cars go to/fro to get to the one road I'd leave open with access to 152. Also, I'm not putting more people on 152, my plan just moves t...

Re: Liberty Triangle
Adjusting the light timing may help some, but honestly when I look at the traffic flow through there I can't see light timing as the answer. I also don't understand why it would cost $500K to send a guy/gal out there to twist a dial or flip switches on the control board for the lights. Even if it i...

Re: Line Creek Loudmouth Blog
Northlanders (I was one until recently) tend to think they are in such a better place in the suburban sprawl of strip malls and discount the downtown - if they even are "brave" enough to go across the river... It's possible to live north and not be in strip mall land. I live in an old Bri...

Re: Chouteau Parkway comparison to HOA Bridge Bike Trail?
I drove the HOA bridge daily for years and it did not have enough shoulder to pull over on before the bike lane. It was maybe 40% the width of my car. The lanes were crazy wide with a skinny shoulder. The old lane divider is currently dead center on the NB right lane. Go look at Google maps satellit...

Re: Major road improvements on I-35/291 corridor
I'm from Liberty and they need to put in another flyover between 291 and 152. South Liberty Parkway would more or less give a direct road from Antioch to 291 without having to go north to 152. There's one way to get to 291 without 152 right now but it's not an improvement. Liberty is the result of t...

Re: Kansas City in the Old West
I really wouldn't call Kansas City as being in the west. It's early history was with the east. It's at the very edge of the great plains, the majority is to the west. The plains basically start in Missouri http://pam.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Missouri_physiography_provinces_1.jpg the Blue is the begin...
