Re: Lee's Summit baseball stadium and mixed-use center
Living in Lee's Summit since I was 4, I can say that we could use a convention center of some kind. Nothing like the OP Convention Center...but a small one would be nice. The location would be ok, I guess. I at least like the fact that we are not sprawling too bad...as of yet. I need more inform...

Re: Westport Flea Market GONE?
Call me crazy, but I never understood the draw to that place. Personally, I think it's blah. And with all the hype about it's world famous burgers, I wasn't that impressed. But HOOTERS? Hmm...let it stay the WP Flea if that's as good as we can do.

The main danger zone is along Rockhurst road, which ...

Re: mickey's irish pub: a pretentious bar in a Lenexa strip mall?
Hmm, along those lines...I drove by the west side of Cheesecake Factory on the plaza, and saw a limo that had a large ad stating "Free Courtesy Rides to The Drink" For those that might not know, The Drink is a swanky "upperish" scale bar west of the plaza. I went in the other n...

Old Building on Paseo
I drove by the old Christian Hospital on Paseo today, and noticed quite a commotion. I always thought it was a neat old building. It was also the birth place of former KC Mayor Ilus Davis (1917 - 1996). He was two term mayor from 1963 - 1971. The building was surrounded by Walton Construction eq...
