I passed by this building every day for years and it's so satisfying to see this.

Re: Skyline from 169

Nice photos! I commonly think to myself that this view is underrated, yesterday included. I feel that the lack of a convenient and well-known vantage point plus the lighting challenges for a good portion of the year combine to make it less prominent. Maybe the City of NKC could build an elevated vie...

Re: Proposition D: Raising the gas tax

Is that under the threshold that requires a public vote? That's the only way to get it done right now, but it seems that in the past the legislature has been too afraid of being primaried over this meager increase.

Look at all those "before" buildings in River Market and the I-70 footprint. What a waste.

Re: Troost developments

Had a great response from Parks & Rec to a 311 complaint I made. I noticed at the NW corner of Troost Park there was a sidewalk on the north border of the park that went about 15 feet and then vanished into a tangle of trees and shrubs that extended all the way to Paseo. Looked at a map that sh...

For a while now I’ve been using a Canon Rebel T5i but recently got a Rebel SL3 with a telephoto lens. Been enjoying it so far
Nice, congrats. I knew that photo of the P&L torch wasn’t taken with a phone!

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

Also, if I remember correctly, financing is a challenge with condos because lenders require a certain amount of units to be sold before construction begins. This is why the light buildings in PNL have yet to feature any condos for sale. Is it the same for single family housing? Yes, there are addit...

I like a pretty bridge as much as the next person, but what has the aesthetically pleasing Bond Bridge done to enhance downtown, the riverfront, or North Kansas City that a boring girder bridge wouldn't have also accomplished? To me, landmark bridges are like tall buildings in the skyline. They look...

Re: Capping the Loop

If we can get a concrete confirmation that the addition of this loop cap would reduce closures of Grand, I'd be more amenable to converting Walnut to a pedestrian and bike-only path through the park (and maybe farther). I have not heard this and will not believe it until it is codified in ordinance...
