Re: Mayor Barnes stalking me on the Plaza!

One would think that with your exceptional Photoshop and camera skills that you would be able to create a slightly better JPG of you and MKB. Haha just kidding, like always nice job.

Re: Kansas City Chiefs at Cleveland Browns December 3rd, 2006

Awesome. Those seats look friggin steep. That house where they filmed A Christmas Story is sweet. It's cool to visit actual movie sites. I visited the farm and field in Field Of Dreams and it too was well worth the drive. I even got to throw and hit Batting Practice there.

Re: OFFICIAL - Arena construction

If you look at the cost of these arenas (Sprint Center, Toyota, and Jobing.com) they are all somewhat similar, and the seating configurations are the best designed to get the most bang for the buck. The number of suites, seats, concourses, etc. all drive the construction costs up. So for around the ...

Re: OFFICIAL - Arena construction

*Sigh*... and it's the same as Phoenix's Jobing.com Arena. It's just a trend in arena's right now. They come and go.

Re: Kansas City NHL Articles

Is that a scientific fact or something? Just because an arena/stadium becomes outdated doesn't mean it can't still function. I don't blame any of our struggles with hockey in the past on our buildings, I blame them on management. I believe bring the UHL here was a mistake. People here aren't interes...

Re: Kansas City NHL Articles

It's a small quibble, but the head of NHL 21 always talked about bringing pro hockey to KC even when the Blades were still here.  They were minor league, too, but they were professional.  But in that case, it always made me wonder if NHL 21 knew what they were talking about. Well most of the educat...

Re: Kansas City NHL Articles

That is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. First off, they say that the Thrashers should move because one team failed already. However, we too have had one team fail, so that wouldn't make much sence to move one here if you are going by the sole fact of losing previous NHL teams. Second, did ...

Kemper discussion

Funny. Some of those words were used to describe Kemper Arena 32 years ago. Funny. Kemper Arena actually was revolutionary to the construction of arenas. First arena to not be suppoerted by columns on the interior. (That's what the huge exoskeleton is for, just incase youre not as knowledgable as y...

Re: Kansas City NHL Articles

Well, was it during the storm? Mizzou Arena allowed all upper-tank fans to move lower level the other nite. I watched the Blues vs. Predators on FSN St. Louis, oh i mean Midwest, and it looked as if there was only 4000 people there tops, and the announcers said that they were suprised even 4000 sho...

Seattle and Portland are once again mentioned as the forerunners for the next possible city. This baffles me.

Re: OFFICIAL - Arena construction

Of all the arenas I have seen and visited, ours is the best-hands down!  Better than Staples, Toyota and American Airlines centers all in one fell swoop. KC surely know how to do sports. I do agree, but Staples and AAC aren't the same type of arena as the Sprint Center. Yes, they seat the same amou...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

In 10-15 years, I imagine the downtown skyline to be completely filled, connecting to the Hyatt/Crown area. No way. At least I hope not, if you expect some good high rises from 30 stories on up I would hope it would take more than 10 years. Our skyline won't be "complete" unless we have a...

Re: Kansas City NHL Articles

Right, right. I don't disagree with the interest of the Blues here in Kansas City. There have been Blues alumni games at Pepsi Ice Midwest, and for the intro music to the KC High School Hockey games they jacked the theme of the Blues intro. Also at the past 3 NHL exhib's here I have sat around and t...
