To answer the question it is no. UMKC does not have the commitment to have a program. UMKC does not have the funds to have a big program. UMKC does not have the fan support for a big program.

Let the program go to Div II or NAIA.

You might have to look at City Codes. Each building requires so much parking and with all of the proposed development this is the need.

You want people downtown it will take two things.
People living downtown.
Shops, restaurants, etc downtown.

That is what you have at the Plaza and Westport.

Maybe in five to ten years KC downtown will have enough of both to make the area alive.
