Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?
Ya'll need to get up to speed with the 21st century. Uber and A TON of other transportation providers exist these days. You're making a bunch of something out of nothing. The metropolitan area as a whole will be involved. It's not like the WC planners look at this as a "Missouri" thing. L...

Re: Seattle
It really pains me that Sporting KC is such a natural fit for downtown in every sense, and that it’s out in the middle of nowhere. It’s even more painful when you see even STL is putting there’s downtown. What a fucking waste of potential. Yes, worst possible location. And it's only there because t...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
Good question. The street gets backed up during rush hours alot and for dinner rushes as well. Things will definitely change significantly for W 39th which I imagine will remove either street parking or driving lanes for a potential car free zone. Either way car loving Kansas City will really test ...

Re: OFFICIAL - Buck O'Neil Bridge
KC loves to demolish things and then complain about all the things that are missing from their past. There is an unhealthy connection to infrastructure and public works. Its time to bulldoze the old and build new ( kemper arena, airport, broadway bridge, northloop, stadiums, etc) Ha! How many time ...

$40 million per block so $65 million is like 1.5 blocks of construction.Anthony_Hugo98 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 10:34 pmThe cap park proposal? I was under the impression it was to be at minimum 4 blocks, with a possibility of full buildout to 7 blocks.

Re: OFFICIAL - Buck O'Neil Bridge
Agreed, Loose park comes to mind. I would say that it does speak to a lack of quality parks within the DT core. $65M would go aways to fund a loop cap, js. I know it's all imaginary, not existing dollars at this point, but I know which project I would pick if I had to choose. I still think making t...

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion
I'm pretty sure there'd be no Federal aid if not enough existing density, that is I don't think they provide funding for speculative future density. A balanced approach is to do BRT/MAX where it makes sense with same level boarding stops as streetcar and then upgrade to streetcar in future if/when ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
So today the MLB owners have continued the MLB Lockout and will be canceling games, all because they want a bigger share of the money and don't want to properly compensate players. Please, please remember this moment when the Royals inevitably come asking for incentives for a new stadium. Remember ...

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion
Will or will no rail be part of a transportation expansion funded by a 3/8 tax extension? No rail. It currently covers bus service and the feds don't allow you to redirect. There isn't enough capacity there to build any new rail, so you're pretty much left with sustaining existing bus operations in...
