Re: OFFICIAL - Ashland at River Market
When deciding between two condo buildings many years ago a major reason for the one I went with was the rooftop access and great views. I only went up maybe 6 times a year on my own but more often when having visitors as it was a nice perk for visitors, having a drink up there. Many friends would wa...

Re: 1650 Broadway
Yeah agree, it's fine for this location. Ideally would line up to block but not crucial in this location. Slick design otherwise.KCPowercat wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:26 am Think we're being overly critical given where this is. It's never going to be amazing urban space there. Hence "weird location" comment.
Re: Atlas 303
Apparently still no incentives to be sought. Hopefully this can be pulled off as it would be an important message to the development community that incentives wouldn't be needed for pure market rate projects.

Re: NFL Draft
Only five streetcars will be running and provide 5 minute headways (you have to go to Chicago for that frequency). We will never run six on the downtown alignment. Too risky and negligible return. The 5-car schedule will be tested during First Friday. Will overflow buses along same line also be use...

Even with warmer weather, office vacancy struggles to break 50%. Re: NE Corner of 14th & Wyandotte (300 unit apartment)
For what I proposed it wasn't about being taller for a tall fetish but rather to offset dropping some floors on SW corner and adding to NW corner. So about maintaining density not height. However making NW corner taller than P&L not a notable impact either to PL while even more density. And give...

Re: NE Corner of 14th & Wyandotte (300 unit apartment)
I've modified and cleaned up with NW even taller. It could probably be as tall or even taller than P&L as it wouldn't be too imposing with the distance. SW corner dropped some to visually terrace up to P&L. If any other ideas I'll try to render. My mods... https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/p...

Agree much better. Could probably go taller on NW corner of project with several floors of 360 view suites. Is distant enough from P&L tower w/out imposing on it.

I agree and wish headlines like this could get a little more granular than county and municipality level stats when examining which areas of the metro are adding or losing population. Maybe those datasets don't exist... The city proper and metro stats aren't out yet. Coming soon. Only county and st...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
Considering most airports can have major hiccups the first 6 months+ after opening (Denver's luggage handling debacle?) sounds like issues with KC's are fairly minor and not relatively hard/expensive to solve. Some will be about adjustments. If all the most problematic issues can develop a plan to b...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
The appropriate balance for the Plaza at this point is maybe tenants that target about 75% 250 mile draw, 25% 3-mile draw. Drop some (not all) of the corporate restaurants and add a few more small quaint neighborhood restaurants/cafes (Rye is too big, too mega not-local feeling). Drop 10% of the ret...
