Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

The Royals just terminated their agreement with the Crossroads. Good. The CCA dicked around and it SHOULD cost them this generational opportunity, along with the sweetheart agreement. The CCA never endorsing and only agreeing on THE DAY OF the vote is absurd. Maybe they can get Chartreuse to sponso...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I don't know how to be more clear about this but I've seen the internal information where thousands of people across the metro were polled. The site and how it impacted the arts and small business wasn't a major concern for the majority of the voters who responded. It's brash to say but these peopl...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I keep seeing tweets from people saying they voted no but they don't mind the Royals Downtown just not in this rushed manner at the Crossroads. @DColeKC you think there is any possibilty they come back for a second stab at DT if it's no or it's then off to try Clay County or Kansas? Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

This is going to be a snoozer. Biggest question will be whether the “Yes’s” can get to 35%. It won’t be close, unfortunately. Can’t wait to blast you later tonight after the vote! I hope you get to! I voted yes. I think the coalition of no voters is much broader than people realize. Agreed. It's a ...

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?

KC Tenants Impact: Stalled or cancelled 19 projects comprising 172 vertical floors of construction, eliminating 4,400 proposed units of housing, 1,200 hotel rooms, and $3,721,900,000 worth of development. Source? I don’t doubt they have impacted development, but other factors such as interest rates...

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?

Saw No on stadium ad on TV sponsored by KC Tenants. I do not understand what advocating for No (or Yes) on the issue does for the interests of lower income renters. How is KC Tenants funded that they can afford to buy television ad space? I asked them and Jennifer Manley where they were getting the...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

If the Royals were smart they would de-couple the K from their ask for a tax to support a downtown stadium plan. The "Save the K" crowd would instantly be mooted if there was no indication that the K was "Going away". The county preparing a demo RFP and the Royals indicating tha...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I don't know if EV comes back, but I would feel reasonably confident that the Royals end up in JaxCo. I wouldn't say the same about the Chiefs. Maybe someone can explain to me why a state-of-the-art Kansas-side Chiefs stadium that could potentially bring a Super Bowl without cost to Jackson County ...

If they’ve worked out a CBA they like, why would they stay neutral on the vote instead of encouraging a Yes vote?
Because they're spineless and bowing to the likes of Coxxxon and such.

Would not expect the residential built in an initial phase/buildout. Seems like Connected KC 2050 has the latest project scope: https://gis2.marc2.org/mtp/publiccommentlisting.html $116,500,000 ... Re: Overhaul of Kansas City incentive policies

The only KCMO project I have broken ground on in the past three years was a 10-unit apartment project [because at 12 units the affordable set-aside kicks in!]. It has an LCRA incentive. Requiring prevailing wages for labor on this project would have definitely killed our budget. This is the exact k...

I'm sure KCT policies as a whole will be heavily discussed. Lots of noteworthy speaker...
