We drive down several times a summer to watch the Royals. Since the K was redone we've doubled our trips (my two boys love the outfield experience).
If KC got an NHL team we'd be down there a lot on weekends during hockey season. Would not make the drive for the NBA though.

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's always been a pitcher that gives up home runs. Last year was a fluke for him. He's still having a good year. I'm not worried about Zack. I think the MLB pitcher that people should be concerned about is Lincecum. We brought 2 car loads down from Omaha for the game tonight and tomorrow. Hopef...

Re: Mizzou to the Big Ten?
Has Keitzman ever admitted his big scoop looks bogus now? Or is he still hoping it pans out this month?

Re: Kauffman Stadium Pano
MSN on their front page today ranks the top 10 MLB parks. Kauffman came in at #9.
Last Jim Caple of ESPN reviewed the new K plus the 2 new NY parks and ranked the K ahead of them.

Re: Kauffman Stadium Pano
Trust I think DT parks are great. Still what they've done at the K has been great and they've used it's location as an advantage. With the K you've got lots of land. With DT stadiums you normally have to work around restrictions or challenges. Minnesota jammed a stadium on a much smaller piece o...

Re: Kauffman Stadium Pano
I used to go to Camden Yards a lot for work. Great park. That being said. After a game or two you really don't sit there and stare at the buildings outside the stadium. They just become distant background.

Re: Kauffman Stadium Pano
I think the whole stadium framing the downtown skyline has gotten a bit stale. Kauffman was original when it opened (when all the other stadiums seemed to be multi use) and it's original again. It's one of the few baseball stadiums with a great tailgating atmosphere and when you want to grab a bee...

Re: Omaha's Midtown Crossing at Turner Park
They've really changed Turner Park. Mutual is sponsoring Jazz on the Green and it will be moving from Joslyn Museum to Turner Park, since it now has a natural amphitheater work to it. I actually like the yellow bricks. The red/brown brick look is so common it's nice to see something that gives th...

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Onre final note on the above post. I really really think Aviles did so well when he was called up a couple years ago was because he had spent so much time in Omaha, it was not as hard for him to adjust.

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On Gordon. I really really think an extened time in Triple AAA will benefit him. When he came up he had one year in AA, had a strong spring and bam, he's in the middle of the order in MLB. He's struggled. He's definitely improved somewhat on taking pitches but to me he still seems to strike out ...

Re: Mizzou to the Big Ten?
Here's an interesting article (definitely a Nebraska fans take so be warned). It does show though what Nebraska does in national tv rankings:

Re: Mizzou to the Big Ten?
I agree on KC. KC and Dallas are the two cities that get most of the Big 12 Championships and neutral site games involving the conference. KC would be up against more traditional Big 10 markets in bidding for the Big 10 games. Plus KC is at the extreme edge of the possible new conference border. ...

Nice to see Moustakas hit 2 homers in his AA debut. Hosmer seems like the stud we drafted now that his wrist has healed and after the lasiks.

I'd like to see Rosa keep performing at a high level a little longer in Omaha before going to KC. Bryan Bullington might turn out to be a good pick up.
