Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

I recently purchased a 2006 Road Atlas (being that I am on the road 100%) and I found some intersesting additions to the downtown KC inset map.  They have listed the KC Live district and the Srint center as attractions downtown, both were listed as U.C.  Nothing to major but I thought it was cool th...

Re: Quintiles/Aventis vacancy buildings???

I heard that Aventis still owns the building, and are asking a ridiculous amount to purchase and or rent the building.  It will probably continue to sit vacant and become yet another eyesore in southern jackson county.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Well the MCI-LGA route has been officially removed from the booking system after April 3rd.  The good thing is this opens up room for JetBue, which announced it will expand to 10 cities this year and they are focusing on the Midwest.  Midwest Airlines will also capitalize on this route, being the so...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

American Airlines will cut both of their nonstops to NY-Laguardia on April 4.  This leaves Midwest as the sole carrier on the MCI-LGA route nonstops with three dailies.

American Airlines will begin 3 daily N/S between MCI and Dallas Love field beginning in March of 2006.  This is in response to Southwest Airlines, who recently (12-13) began service between MCI and Dallas Love field.

Official groundbreaking set for December 13th according to Bizjournals.  Completion set for sometime late 2007.  Seems like a long time for a project like that?  Any guesses on why it might take two years to complete?

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Beginning in February, Midwest Airlines will add two more N/S to the KC market.

1 N/S to Milwaukee (total of six daily)
1 N/S to Orlando (total of two daily)

This will bring the total count to 25 flights a day beginning in February.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

I have a question i dont think that its goin to happen but dont you think that it would be really cool if airbus (the biggest airline in the world 500-800 people per plan) put a hub in KC.  It is very possible and that would most likely triple the number of passaangers a year through KCI if not mo...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

The only carrier I know of that offers it is Lufthansa, a German airline.  None of the domestic airlines offer it yet.  In todays competitive society, it wouldn't suprise me if we start seeing it more often down the road.

Wow, I didn't know that it just takes three events a year to build enough support to construct a 450 million dollar stadium.  No wonder I wasn't an economics major!!

Re: New Arizona Stadium

After spending some time in Phoenix, I am not so sure I could ever live here.  Everything seems so sterile and bland here.  I guess there are a lot of nice golf courses and a considerable amount of wealth in some areas.  As for Phoenix itself, not a huge fan.  Seems like an overgrown Alberquerque.  ...

Re: New Arizona Stadium

I have been driving by this stadium daily, as I am in Phoenix on business.  It looks pretty damn sweet from the outside, but it is definitley in the middle of nowhere.  The Glendale arena is nearby too.

There are some good points in that article.  Lets be honest here it really depends on your confidence level and ability to approach another person.  Kind of what Que just mentioned.  Most people that live in the area, grew up here or moved here from a small town and carried those conservative midwes...

Re: Planning for Upscale Lee's Summit Shopping Center

Lee's Summit East HS when it is built will be off of Smart Rd and Hwy 50.  I think it is supposed to be built in at least 5 years or so.
