The Fairfax Airport was closed and demolished and the GM Plant built there I think.

There was also temporary barracks housing built in Penn Valley Park during WWII.  I'll try and find the aerial photo that shows it.  I think it might have been for the military personnel training in KC during the war. The west side of Central between 13th and 14th streets in 1930 shows homes and the Del-Ray Hotel Apartments.  Bartle Hall is there today.

The Brunswick Hotel stood on the NW corner of 10th and Broadway. The San Dora Hotel stood at the corner of 15th and Broadway in the area where I-670 now exists. The address was 1502 Broadway. The photo is from 1926.

The 400-room Commonwealth Hotel stood on the west side of Broadway between 12th and 13th streets.
