He's only ever political. It's gotten quite annoying.

Re: NBA to Kansas City
It also doesn't help that even when rich folks & the Great One point out how great KC would be as a market then get shot down immediately. I think the ship has sailed on the NHL with Bettman being adamant that his legacy will be keeping the Coyotes in the Phoenix area even though the locals coul...

Re: KU/KCK <-----> TSC East/West Transit
We're not building this for the people in JoCo or out in East Jax. This is for the residents, this is what the PUBLIC in public transit is supposed to stand for. I always look at it like we build the test line that was mainly used by everyone & tourist as well, then once that succeeded, we expan...

Re: NBA to Kansas City
No one is investing in NBA until they get their shit figured out. They need a television contract and need to shorten their season. Not really at all, it's the fastest growing in the world. NBA is doing just fine & is about to make a ton of money shoving everyone else out of the way for the Veg...

Re: New Contruction by Zona Rosa
I’ve been going in and out of that QT a few times a week for 25 years and never seen anything happen there except a guy getting caught shoplifting one time. I went to that QT at least 4 times a week from 2009-2020, usually some late nights too, I've seen some things. Still got a pic of someone's wh...

Re: New Contruction by Zona Rosa
Awesome, more stuff crammed into an already over populated(service/retail wise) & congested corner of the Northland The area needs an additional connection over I-29 to relieve Barry/29 being a choke point. I'd say build a new road bridge between Walmart and zona Rosa (would also connect zona t...

Surplus, kind of an "you scratched their back, we'll scratch yours now" for KC helping pay for the STL dome, & Parson wanting a big project to show off when he goes into the private field after this.

Or maybe letting us call the shots instead of the state might help? I mean, it is our city after all, we know what's going on when Jeff City is quiet & sleepy.

Please tell me it's going to be a full restaurant that serves on a regular schedule and not just for games... I'm hearing it's an extremely limited menu too, just brisket & pulled pork, maybe cubed burnt ends but not the real deal. Few of the sides, but it's coming from the state line location ...

First major renovation in 20 years & it's putting in a "canopy" that looks like the Wembley arch.

Re: NBA to Kansas City
Yeah, Gail Benson is selling that team out of town. I don't even think the NBA could really do much & relocation from other owners after expansion would likely happen. And this is all before all the NOLA climate change stuff that keeps happening. I think the NBA will try harder to keep Memphis a...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Other than getting a new stadium, NKC seems like the worst of both worlds, not downtown, we lose a stadium I love, and the same ancillary development could be done at TSC. The upside would be I wouldn't have to chip in. Well, if you live in Jackson County, you'd get all those downsides AND still ha...

Re: NBA to Kansas City
Yep, now the real work begins. Seattle is going to spread itself so thin like the Twin Cities on team support. Very ambitious but neither city can support NFL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, MLS, & NHL all at once, Seattle has an NWSL team too. It's crazy.

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?
America mostly runs on the citizens consuming products & anything at all times, we hardly use our hands these days. We teach people to consume non stop but people also get mad that they can't make rent because "WHY AREN'T YOU BUYING THINGS TO STIMULATE THE MARKET!" It's kind of a catch...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Going to be funny watching them realize in a few weeks that their little suburban plan wasn't even in the cards. I haven't seen the Royals mention a single thing about staying since they started the whole NKC thing. Might have actually worked out well as a distraction in the end like some discussed.

Re: Sporting Kansas City
I can tell you right now with first hand experience being a fan that all support would pretty much collapse if they moved to JoCo. MLS needs to be going away from the cutesy family outing that SKC switched to in about 2018-2019. They want to market the fans making noise, smoke bombs, tifo, but then ...

Twitter has seen a mass exodus in even just simple daily users. Advertisers are still skittish all these months later. And it doesn't even take into account that certain features work & then don't work at any time of the day. Musk has the site in a slow death march. Once one of the big brands de...

Current drawing 10k all the time needs to be the goal. They'll easily hit it the first season, maybe the next one, but they're going to have a long time goal of hitting that 3-5 years from now. Going to be tougher than a lot of people realize, but I believe they can do it at least the first 3 season...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I once again will point out that MLB is not interested whatsoever in moving the Royals because they want to share in the revenue from expansion costs. Moving the Royals is a sunk cost to all the other owners & they're not interested in relocation outside of A's to Vegas. They are here, they're g...
