Attracting corporate HQs

combined with the 140 yrs of border hatred, a noncompete between KS and MO will NEVER, EVER HAPPEN given the nature of economic development, esp in this area. haven't you noticed the one asking for the noncompete is always the one getting the shit kicked out of it?

all good points, but the one that is resounding is the KS hates MO and MO hates KS--that is a simple fact. during lunch w/ a very prominent development player a few days ago, he reinforced this point by saying there is an all out war right now in the econ dev arena between KS and MO. having attended...

KC you have a great point; the only problem is that organizations like KCADC do their job bringing companies to the metro area, but once a company decides to locate here its like tossing a wounded fish into a tank full of hungry sharks. every community is going to bend over backwards to get the big ...

I seriously can not think of anything productive to say...

i tend to agree with you (but dont mind paying $4.99 for the Waldo Pizza buffet cause you get quality with good price--too bad its about a 60 min round trip drive from olathe). i just wish i could eat in a private room at pizza street--the clientele overwhelms my senses although i have some good pic...

Return of the King/KCMO?

OK, this is just a guess, but with the opening of "The King" today I am making the assumption that most of the posters are probably dressed up as their favorite character and waiting in line somewhere to see the last chapter of a great trilogy. Here is a question geekers---if Barnes was go...

was at a forum the other day where CEO Ernst spoke; after he made sure no reporters were in the room, he spoke of where HR will relocate. Unless he was trying to throw everyone off, the general sense everyone got from this discussion was that H&R is headed to KS. I wont go into details, but it w...
