Re: Succotash
I get their fresh apple juice everytime I go. I have discovered that you need to get a cup of ice to go along with it, but that just goes to show that fresh squeezed juice is not cold, as the fruit is likely not cold.

Re: Succotash
Don't forget that succotash is doing evenings Wednesday through Sunday now - went last week - had probably the best hot pot I've tasted - so support Beth and the team - it'd be a real shame to lose this eccentric haven of the Market. I like the new menu idea as well - no longer fixed price 3 or 4 c...

Re: Cosentino's Grocery downtown
SSSLLLOOOWWW DDDOOOWWWNNN..... This logic is going to blow this persons mind. Introduce these types of ideas one at a time. That's a realistic perspective but downtown KC hasn't had a full service grocery for 50 years. Most downtowns on a comeback struggle to have these kinds of basic services. W...

Re: Cosentino's Grocery downtown
I went with ramseym tonight and grabbed a few things. I didn't really need anything, just wanted to check it out. Busy, lots of people buying prep'd food from the various counters. Lots of professionals apparently working later and getting a bite. Lots of KBI officers (I think, they were wearing...

Re: OFFICIAL: Wallstreet Tower ( was:US Bank Tower going condo)
That's lame. Those WS Tower people sound like a total douche troop from everything posted on this forum. Typical response from Trailerkid. The garage that is open to the public is not owned by Wallstreet Tower. The part of the garage that is owned by Wallstreet Tower (5th floor and up) is owned ...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
I have never eaten @ Fogo de Chao, but I have always heard that it is good and that I would enjoy it. I will definately give it a try and am excited. I couldn't find a menu on their webpage. I found a blog entry showing $55 per person for dinner. Can anyone confirm this as the price?

Re: Cosentino's Grocery downtown
My wife and I went to Brookside Market today and commented that this will probably be the last time for a while that we use the Brookside Market.

Re: Water taste
My third winter downtown, my first time noticing it. While waiting in line @ grocery store today I actually called the water works (of course they were not open but better than reading the Sun). FYI, the number that I used was 816-513-0123. I will call again tomorrow and let everyone know what, i...

Re: New Years 2009
A group of my friends did the Indie. We originally wanted to rent it out and have a private party. They required 100 people @ $75, which would have not been difficult except for the fact that we started planning this thing about 3 weeks ago. Typical. $75 got you all you can drink (mid level prem...

Re: Water taste
I have been out of town for about a week and came back home (wallstreet tower) and the water tastes like shit. I got home this afternoon and noticed it in coffee that I brewed in a french press.

Re: Cosentino's Grocery downtown
If you look closely at the store it is set up to cater to the JoCo River Market people. There is like one express register facing the street and the 5-6 other registers face the parking garage entrance in the rear. Yet again, the suburbs pwn the city. Regardless...NASTY store that will do boatloads...

It sounds like the owner of Kaiyo (who is also the head chef) will be downtown everyday rolling sushi. I have never eaten at the restaurant, but have heard good things.

Re: Cosentino's Grocery downtown
I went on a tour yesterday during lunch with ramseym (the guy who posts the videoblogs of stuff) and Mark (their store manager) and John Cosentino. It is going to be great. Fresh pizza, sandwiches, sushi, etc... It really is similar to the Brookside store with improvements. This is what they wer...

Re: Arena Parking Challenge
What a weird law that allows owners to tow someone off their property if they do not have the right to park there. I might park my car in their yard one of these evenings and see if it is such an issue... Side note, these tow companies do seem to have a wild west mentality. A friend was recently t...

Enterprise has always been the cheapest when I have shopped around. Also, not sure how old you or your best man is, but they do not charge a higher rate for those under the age of 25.
I saw Larry Johnson in his Bentley on the plaza. Maybe he would let you borrow.

Another film being shot in KC!! WooHoo! http://www.kansascity.com/199/story/861106.html from the star: "Hollywood director Brent Huff has always wanted to film a movie in Kansas City. Now the Springfield native — who attended the University of Missouri in Columbia — is getting his wish. Prod...

Re: Tires - Valve Stem
No info RE valve stems. FYI - If you are going to warranty a tire, you have to send back 95% of the tire to the manufacturer and then wait a while. My Tahoe has Michelins that run about $220 a piece. Had a blow out in middle of Missouri. Tire spread across about 500 yards of highway and all over ...
