Re: Four Light

Does a 2023 groundbreaking factor in the terribly drawn-out incentive process in KC? Cuz let's be real Three Light could be topped off by now if the city didn't randomly throw in an "hey you gotta incorporate affordable housing" and that was with our last council, which was marginally mor...

Re: KC metro growth and migration stats

Here's where we can partly agree to agree. KC should be absolutely all out on competing with cities like Indy that are IMO doing a worse job than us and showcasing why we do it better. Only thing for me is that means a lot more than sports. Speak of the devil- Indianapolis announced today they’re g...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

The Cardinals are actively building stadium view apartment highrises. Fans are willing to pay a premium for the views but it’s a far step down from TV or going to the actual game.

Re: NBA to Kansas City

I figured Seattle would be back with the Sonics first as expansion. Sort of like when the Browns came back to Cleveland. I was not sure if the Thunder control the rights to the Super Sonics name & branding like Cleveland held on to their name and such. I honestly do not know. # Pro Sports franc...

Re: New Chiefs Stadium

Last transit post leaking on the Chiefs stadium thread, but KCMO can improve our existing streetcar to meet our regional needs through simple things like dedicated ROW and light priority, and even Tram-Train technology offered by the CAF Urbos. Most of the stops are going to be close together. Freq...

Re: New Chiefs Stadium

The chances of the Chiefs building a new stadium anywhere are so small. Smart of them to start the "we would consider moving to Kansas" trick as they're going to at some point need more tax payer buy in for stadium renovations. Arrowhead Stadium is one of only a few older iconic football ...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to North Kansas City

Are we currently using all the streetcars that we have? Or we only using 4/6 We wouldn't have 6 if we didn't need 6. I suspect you are referring to using all of them at all times. You do not want 100 fleet utilization. That leaves no room for maintenance, accidents, etc. Also reduces the life span ...
