I wonder how far down the road that might be? From Justin Meyer: https://twitter.com/JustinMeyerKC/status/1628105548829687822?s=20 Going fr...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
Yeah, every time I go to Target, they have like 20 check out lanes and 3 of them are open. 8) I'm sure they know what they are doing. But that headhouse won't feel so big when it has que line taking up most of it. And I'm not hating on the new terminal !!!! It does seem like a small area though. Ag...

Re: OFFICIAL - East Village
East Village, a place that will not be developed for another decade, most likely. By the time the decision is made for a downtown ballpark (which even if it does goes downtown, it will most likely not be in the East Village) it will be around 20 years or so when the concept first came up to develop ...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)
Steady progress on the site! Concrete pillars are being set on the south and east sides of the site. They are moving fast and should be vertical by sometime next quarter. Speaking of the foundation, does anyone know if they are pouring the foundation to allow the hotel to expand at a later date i.e...

Re: UMKC Conservatory of Music considers move to downtown
Will UMKC's Downtown Arts Campus get a second chance for state funding? [/b] Missouri Rep. Noel Shull, a Republican from Kansas City, has reintroduced a bill that would fund half the cost of building and furnishing a downtown conservatory near the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. It's a pla...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
Yeah, pretty sure Commerce is banking that land for downtown baseball. Would that possibly mean the "Flashcube" building would need to be demolished along with the building on the corner of 6th and Wyandotte and then using those six blocks of mostly parking between 6th and 8th/Central and...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC
Congrats to all involved. KC Council throws out vote, so streetcar expansion can move toward UMKC, riverfront The council’s 10-2 vote was based on advice from city attorneys, who said the measure as written had legal issues that exposed the city to possible lawsuits. Proponents of the move said that...

Re: Downtown office vacancy
H&R Block had an option for another tower the same size as their current one on top of the retail spaces just west of Main. The piers were built into that location when they built P&L. I would much rather have commercial space there than 5 Light. Same here. I believe downtown is doing well ...

Nice, I was wondering about the project with all of the hoops it had to jump through. It's good to hear the final pre-construction hoop has been done.hartliss wrote:Ha, correct. Were you at the lunch too?ldai_phs wrote:^^^Raised more than expected which will be reinvested in the project

Re: Streetcar to the riverfront
I'm not trying to be snarky, so I'm sorry if this comes off that way, but why is a streetcar to the riverfront park appealing? Maybe I'm out of date on my understanding on the plans for the area, only thing that seems to be moving forward is Bar-K. Isn't the mixed use development ideas really reall...

Yikes didn't realize it would take a year at best case before it is approved. I didn't even think it would be on the ballot next year due to the large infrastructure vote that may happen next year. It just shows that I have been living under a rock for the past several months. 1. it's mail in. So i...
