Re: We need a new airport!!!

Doing nothing _is_ the best option. But all sorts of canards have been dribbled into the press in order to try to shoot down that best option. (Old plumbing; "tight" radius at the horseshoe terminals; security holdups; new de-icing equipment). Exactly. What we have works. Something will e...

Re: Amazon same day delivery in KC

I have no idea how many items Amazon sells, but I doubt they ever intend to offer 100 different deodorant varieties like you see at Target. Amazon tends to be a better deal for larger items or multi packs.

Re: Amazon same day delivery in KC

Neither of the amazon links you have are sold by Amazon. Third party sellers on Amazon can charge whatever they like and are often not a great deal.

However, Amazon is rarely a great deal on anything like a single stick of deodorant. Usually can get much better prices on those items at Target.

Hopefully a few lives are saved by MegaBus leaving. http://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com/stltoday.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/7/bc/7bc0431e-dcd9-11e1-811b-0019bb30f31a/501ad713acbb0.preview-620.jpg http://www.jaunted.com/files/6193/MgBusCrash1.jpg http://media.syracuse.com/news/phot...

The linked site plan shows a Party city in that location.

The proposed addition to the south looks very disconnected from the existing part of the mall.

Re: OFFICIAL - The Continental Apartments (former Mark Twain Tower)

Numerous mentions in the proposal of parts of the building which are inconsistent with a modern office building. Well maybe a modern office building is not its best use. There has to be a way to get that pool back into service in some capacity. Hotel, health club, residential, something.

Parking in the building is a terrible idea. Should be plenty in the garage next door.

Re: What Retailers St.Louis has that KC needs

Straubs. Strouds is KC pan-fried chicken. As far as Schnucks, I've never seen so much variablity in quality of selection and layout in a chain grocery store, especially between all the St. Louis City and inner suburban stores. It sort of annoying unless you are used to it. There are schnucks in cen...

Re: Layoffs at The Star

The Star is so far gone. The whole print paper is about the size of a business section 15 years ago. It's sad how it has shriveled up to almost nothing, but they are not making good management decisions there. Time to focus on the areas they can really add value (local news, sports, etc.) and get ri...

Seems like another spot where they'd just build a suburban store. Why build urban right across the street from two huge suburban style stores?

Re: City Target (CityTarget)

63rd and Prospect would be another good choice. I don't think you'd get any synergy in that spot. The Landing location would pull redevelopment from Brookside to Troost and from the Universities to 63rd. Also, it would pull people into the core instead of having them drive barely off the highway fr...

Re: American Royal leaders propose tearing down Kemper

My concern is that Historic KC is devaluing themselves by fighting for a building that most citizens don't find charming. They have a valuable role to play in this city, so I hope they do what it takes to be valued and respected and can grow their mission. Again...if the building can be used so it ...
