Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
That Boston route makes no sense to me unless they start marketing it internationally. I really hope this route sticks around. Fares are so cheap to Boston right now 49-69 one way basically and this route has to be a big reason why Same here. Have flown it a couple times and was great service both ...

Kansas City Metro is not a Cayman islands kind of place, it's a beautiful place but it's expensive and there are basically no all inclusive resorts

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
The Delta lounge is great. Highly recommend. I never really looked at food prices around the airport but did notice a bbq platter or something for 27 bucks. If u were flying delta and didn't have a CC that gave u free lounge access u are almost better off paying the 50 bucks to sit in the lounge for...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
I wonder what kind of return on investment would result from KC offering something like Icelandair but where travelers to the US from Europe could take advantage of a one or two night layover before proceeding to another destination? Wonder why no US airlines offer this option. I love that Tap Port...

I wasn't being serious but knowing how politicians work I don't think it's that far fetched.TheUrbanRoo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 10:30 pm Why would you fly all the way to Europe just for a one week flight for a Chiefs game..

Re: Martini Corner near 31st/Gilham
Restaurant updates were mentioned at last month's UHNA meeting: - a lease was signed on for the former Cafe Europa space on Gillham; it's supposed to be an American bistro place. We have been to the old Cafe Europa spot a few times now, we really like it, its called Union the Hill, the menu is simi...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Only a couple updates in the weekly update this week. Only notable one is AA cut Austin from mid August to early October Not surprised. That route had to be bleeding money. All airlines are betting heavy on AUS but now the market is starting to correct. I’ll be interested to see how long the AA Aus...

I feel like it's more of a result of late stage capitalism.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Pro-tip -- use ONT as an alternate for flights to PSP (this really only applies if you are connecting anyhow). Much easier to do the eastern half of the Inland Empire than all the way to the Los Angeles basin. I would probably choose PHX over LAX if I had to choose a nonstop from KC to the Desert, ...

Another one that I would love to see is Palm Springs, that area has really started to gain appeal from a Nationwide standpoint. Visited a few years ago and really enjoyed it. The worst part was the drive back into LAX, didn't realize the traffic would be a nightmare on a Saturday in the middle of af...

WN just announced new N/S between KC and Long Beach, starting 3/9. Local demand is there but the new terminal connecting experience had to help tremendously. https://www.flykci.com/newsroom/news-releases/southwest-nonstop-kansas-city-to-long-beach/ The timing does not make it a very good transfer s...

I always thought Alaska could have used a Midwestern hub to serve those intermountain states. If u flew Alaska from say Boston or NYC and needed to go to Bozeman, Missoula or Spokane u would have to go into Seattle or Portland then back over to Missoula/Spokane/Bozeman. With a Midwest hub u could ro...

Re: Companies moving/expanding to KC area
We should be harvesting every HQ or back office in Topeka, Wichita, Omaha. Des Moines, Columbia True. But we also do not want to leave our hinterland empty. I'd still rather see a company move from Denver or Dallas than within our own area of influence. I mean that is kind of what the Twin Cities a...
