I hope you're right. I'd hate to see the Plaza go downhill but based off the article and recent comments they seem to have an overall strategy as to what they're doing and just haven't revealed it to us.

fyi; now cole haan is closing. not quite sure what Taubmann and Macerich are thinking since this was a nicer/higher-end store but it appears they are forcing out a lot of tenants.

this will be a great addition to the skyline. looking forward to seeing this go up. cordish may have gotten a good deal from the city when they first negotiated this but you can't deny they've done a lot for downtown.

So now that the council has reached an agreement. When do we see the renderings?

Exactly. I think everyone wants this done but there just isn't enough private funding to help kickstart this.

That's really unfortunate. Burberry is one of the few nicer stores on the Plaza.

Also missing on the list are a few of the luxury brands. Which I think will take KC awhile to be able to support.

Interesting article on cnbc about malls fighting for retailers. They spend a significant amount of the article on the recent announcement by Nordstrom to move to the plaza.

One option Oak Park could consider is trying to get Bloomingdales to lease that spot but considering our market size that would be tough.

If the rumors are true about Nordstrom it's great for the plaza but bad for OakPark Mall. I'm not sure who they'd be able to lease that large space out to.
