Has Bcycle made any progress with ebikes? They mentioned testing them a year+ ago but not sure if rolled out anywhere yet. Can't find any updates.

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.
Example: Main through Midtown used to be a redlight district with places like Kimo/Dove Theatre, Newsroom, Pink Garter, Ray's, etc and also 'seedy' leaning considered places like Sandersons, Milton's Jazz room, etc. Some of those wonderful old brick buildings were torn down associated to what repres...

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.
Even if MAC doesn't expand beyond Armour, their success may be what's influencing owners of other apt buildings nearby to upgrade (as well as rising rents downtown). Have noticed some below avg buildings along Warwick upgraded with new wooden balconies, also upgrades behind Walgreens between Main/Br...

Walgreens and CVS tend to plop down near each other if not opposite corners elsewhere. Is surprising that downtown hasn't attracted Walgreens yet.

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.
Investing further E seems like a natural next step (and the BK lot at Armour/Main if they can get it). Maybe also buying out Uptown Shoppes and redeveloping. MAC has been great for Midtown. Hope to see them expand beyond Armour.

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.
Some friends own a home a few blocks away from Troost project just off Armour (with driveway) and are very excited about the Troost development as all the improvements along Armour have significantly raised value of their home since purchased 15 years ago, especially jumping last 2 years. And they a...

Re: Religion...
Evangelicals have attracted some mainline Protestants but appears to be in decline or flat overall with just about every source I've seen except when Evangelicals are the source. Northland KC seems to be unusually Evangelical and they can be rather religiously extroverted, but metro wide it's likely...

Saw a scuffle recently in Westport with a doomsday leaning street proselytizer ripping into 'sinners' and it reminded me to look up more recent stats of trends. KC isn't really much more religious than avg it's just that a higher % who are can be in your face or extroverted about it. KC and Indy may...

Re: Poll: Does the Plaza need a drastic change, some change or on the right path?
Nordstrom will be new for Plaza but not new to metro and isn't really a top tier desirable store anymore, hence they are closing stores and transitioning to services. Some other shopping districts with Nordtrom still in downward trend. The successful trend has been mixed use, not isolated districts ...

Re: Muehlebach Hotel / KC Club Project
It could be possible to move garage to back side with a wider alley sort of extended into property and upper building sort of extended over part of the alley. Would need to be wide enough to allow cars both directions to rear garage entrance/exit, so could be more complicated to pull off. But I do l...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
I again think you're missing the point. We'd all love the plaza to become an urban neighborhood, but I'm saying there are systemic issues that keep it from getting more urban. I agree with the "last word syndrome" point though, so I'll recuse myself from here and let it return to actual p...

Re: Poll: Does the Plaza need a drastic change, some change or on the right path?
Moving Plaza improvement conversation from other Plaza thread here... Plaza needs greater density to save it, both residential and commercial. Up-zoning of the entire Main corridor to encourage TOD must happen for streetcar Phase II to really be successful. The NIMBY mentality of "Saving the Pl...
