Re: 2010-2011 College Basketball Season
Plenty of Omaha Husker fans support Creighton... at least until the NU game. Sure, when I lived in Omaha I'd pull for Creighton until they played NU. Just like I support the Chef's unless they're playing the Bears. It's a bit different supporting a local team where you're residing. Supporting Duke ...

Re: Village West will be very influencial in KC's future
Cerner putting jobs next to a freaking Speedway along a desolate stretch of interstate makes me want to barf. It pretty much sums up everything that's wrong with this metropolitan area. IIRC the Cerner jobs were part of the agreement to obtain STAR bonds to help with the Wizards stadium constructio...

Re: 2010 Big 12 Pick 'em Game
So if Nebraska wins by 1, you won't be happy? 'Cause I'm looking at the North standings, and all NU has to do is win by at least 1 point. Crap, I feel like Sarah Palin. :D I meant it would be a miracle to cover and I'd be happy with the win for the reason you stated. As the score is currently 31-...

Colorado (+20.5)?!?!
With Martinez injured, Niles Paul out, and Ben Cotton nursing sore junk?
If we cover it will be a miracle and I'll be happy.

Uh, no. If you actually are a "Husker", an alum of the school, I can't imagine supporting anyone other than my school.LenexatoKCMO wrote: Be honest, if you were a Husker wouldn't you want a different basketball program to glom onto?

Unless you were hoping for experience that was actually achieved sometime during the lifetimes of most Rag readers. Most Rag readers are a bit on the young side. These were all in my lifetime so it doesn't seem any of them were that long ago. If we do host the 2022 World Cup, I'll be 69.

Their is a fine line between a legitimate gripe and forcing a bias that's going to come back to haunt you. Exactly. Bo really needs to maintain more self-control. Yeah, there were a number of questionable calls but there are always going to be those type of calls. Antagonizing the referees are o...

Re: Could KC host the FIFA World Cup?
I was reading the wiki page about this (yeah, I realize the source material may not be accurate) and it said the host cities will be announced on Dec 2nd, which is less than two weeks away. I realize our chances are slim to none, but if we did get named as hosts, what would we need to do as a city...

Re: 2010 - 2011 College Football Season
I think they have a chance to win all 5. They are worse against the pass than the run so I think that could play in their favor against Nebraska although the running quarterback will be something new to them. That "running quarterback" passed for 323 yards and 5 TD's yesterday so he not ...

Losing to an unranked team at home will do that. If Nebraska had lost to a ranked Texas team in Austin, different story. By the way, where are all the Nebraska trolls? I don't believe there are any "Nebraska trolls". Myself, I'm just sitting back and reading all of the Nebraska-hater po...
