Re: Is the Streetcar Extension bringing new development as promised?
Here's a bummer. The Office Depot at 4201 Main will become a Total Wine and More https://compasskc.kcmo.org/EnerGov_Prod/SelfService#/plan/f8ef3070-725f-4609-8189-4cd90b5e38c0 That sucks. Wonder what the next closest option is for those basic office supply needs (i.e., cables, paper, hard drives, e...

i'm gonna zag here. they'll probably stick a huge poster on the att building like they do at the mainmark. i'm picturing the biggest jungle law ad known to man. i am 100% down for that. I'm too lazy/busy to photoshop the image, so use your imagination... "Property taken by corrupt politicians?...

Do the research, people. Connect the dots. Royals – Mahomes – Chiefs – Kelce – Taylor – Vegas – Cordish. The whole thing was rigged.

Exempt certified historic rehabs from most or all of those restrictions (WBE/MBE, prevailing wage, affordable housing). We need to do everything we can to save our historic structures and it's not very safe to count on MO state historic tax credits.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I'm still happy that the stadium is going downtown at least. The demolition of the existing buildings is not great but also mostly are parking lots and low-rise structures. Hopefully, this means the surrounding surface parking lots will be developed quickly. I hope the same thing but in all likelih...

Will be interesting to see who buys the building and what becomes of it. Joel Worcester moved down the street into Wallstreet Tower, purchasing a condo and the lower level of the building. If you want a good laugh check out the tax history of the lower level units. The HOA allowed them to be re-dee...

Back when I used to use a bank drive through, my dog would go crazy when she figured out where we were going, because they would always give her treats. Now I do everything online and my dog is bored.

There was a plan in place in 2001and possibly earlier. And the Funkhouser reign didn't help things.

Re: SomeraRoad West Bottoms District
They’re New Yorkers. All talk and full of bad acting. They look down on Midwesterners and see KC as a way to make a quick buck. Wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t the only major tear down they pursue I sure hope not but once they try to make their way through the MO DED historic tax credit system,...

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?
Some people on here like to call anyone they don't agree with trolls or some other term. They don't like to see peoples opinions that differ from their own, so they wish they could block them out. Not to get too political, but KCT is a political group. I don't think it's the opinions that some foru...

^ Good question and just expand that to any other property that doesn't want to sell. While you're at it, please explain how a baseball stadium is public use.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I try to stay out of this, but I guess I can't help myself. Let's look at the most likely scenario, if "they" choose EC... The public (county voters) is already on the fence about a new stadium and extension of sales tax; There will be the use of eminent domain or, at the very least, the t...
