It is time for Sly to lead the initiative to bring all liquor laws into the 21st Century.
And while he's at it, maybe he should go ahead and legalize marijuana.

Re: City Homes Auction
It was one of the most bizarre RE auctions I've ever seen and I've seen several. They "sold" each one individually, "pausing" the bid at the highest bidder. Then they allowed people to re-open any bid with a minimum raise, and also let people re-open by combining units. It was ve...

Re: YJ's Snack Bar
Pretty good point. If I own a restaurant that has a license and is in compliance I get a little peeved when i see YJs gets the same thing by whining. That is precisely the problem. Many business owners just do as they are told and accept the status quo. Put a fence around my outdoor seating? OK! ...

Re: 39th Street Condos
How about we return to the subject at hand? The size and style of the houses in this area are pretty irrelevant. The apartments and 39th St. frontage bldgs are, and this design fits in OK with the area, right?

I have the diagrams of the areas in case that doesn't make sense, but don't have time to upload (or really even (K)now how) Link to the foot patrols maps: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&sugexp=ldymls&pq=kansas+city+donut&xhr=t&cp=18&qe=a2Fuc2FzIGNpdHkgbWlzc291ZG9udXQ&qesi...

North Chestnut and Nicholson Avenue, near Knuckleheads, there is a former Town Topic facility. One look, and you'll recognize it. Is that still operating as an independant diner? Any reviews? Funny you would ask, cuz I ate there yesterday for the 1st time. It's called the Finish Line and, expect...

Re: Best beer-sipping patios in KC
I enjoy all of the options listed above. I was thinking about this the other day and I'd like to throw out a perhaps controversial option--Cheesecake Factory. While I'm not a fan of the restaurant, the patio on the Plaza has that great fountain and plenty of seating. Reminds me of many of the plaza...

I believe they are supposed to have a fence, but it isn't necessarily enforced, beyond the initial approval. Another stupid-assed reg. industries rule. Can't serve booze unless you keep 'em fenced in! Jeesh.

This deal is so bizarre and deja-vu-ish.
I don't understand why a bunch of lawyers absolutely need to be in their new building by the fall of 2013. Is their lease up then? Anyone know why that deadline?
