Angel wrote: That's interesting that they're putting those in MLS as pending since no one's gone to contract yet.  At least not that I know of.
Isn't that the standard operating procedure with projects like this? (This is a question, not a statement of fact) :)

Re: OFFICIAL: The Broadway KC condos

MLS shows 57 Active & 24 Pending.
That info does not necessarily mean that there are not more units on reserve.
I hope this project happens.

Re: Is downtown redevelopment losing momentum?

Downtown residential development has slowed significantly or stopped in most (not all) downtowns across the country it is no different here.  These things cycle and right now we are in a slow period. Don't give up hope it will not last forever.  When SC & Kansas City Live open in the next year y...

Re: Alameda Residents Put the Kaibosh on Second Tower

What I actually was saying was that there is absolutely no reason for them to be crying about lost views because the tower wouldn't be north. It would either be NW, W or SE. Actually the tower would be built to the southeast of the current tower. The current tower is in the NW quadrant, the common ...

I think families are adding rooftops in KCMO north of the river....isn't that the area of highest building permits in the entire metro right now?  Schools? The Liberty and North Kansas City school districts serve the rapidly growing part of Kansas City north that you are referring to.  In fact the ...

Re: Kansas City TIF

The hotel and garage would have already been part of the approved TIF for Briarcliff.  What the old council approved just before the new council came in was a Super TIF for these projects.  And the excuse used for the rush job was that there was some "secret" agreement made that this part...

any guesses on how many current Alameda residents were original buyers in 1985? besides, while the current owner's association bought the rights to stop a second tower, that doesn't mean market forces, owner changeover, changing demos of the bldg, etc. won't lead to the association selling those ri...

Re: Alameda Residents Put the Kaibosh on Second Tower

When they bought their condos in the Alameda Plaza building, there was no long-term "right-to-views" implied.  That is why they are having to purchase the development, and/or "air-rights" to the adjacent parcel to protect "their views." The original deed didn't include...
