Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
I just saw that the streetcar is limiting riders to 50 per vehicle.
Does that mean 50 per section, or 50 per the whole thing? And what is the normal capacity? (Just curious.)

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
I don't know if it has to do with the CoronaVirus... It might. I got a coronavirus-themed email the other day from Alaska Airlines offering select flights to Seattle [cough, cough] for $29 and Hawaii for $99. Also waiving change and cancellation fees. (Right now you couldn't pay me to fly to Seattl...

Re: Closing Streets for events/construction
Perfect example was this past weekend when Cordish had Grand closed for what, 3 days, for the rodeo. I'm sure there were times it was needed, but every time I was around there on Friday and Saturday it was a ghost town apart from a handful of kids and 60-year-olds using the closed off street as a re...

I'd been worried about this building because I hadn't seen any progress in a long time. It was a great relief when I noticed the framing the other day.

Re: Photo scavenger hunt
I work on a downtown photo scavenger hunt every September. Here's a few things we've had in the past... General rack-up-the-points items: * the national flags along Grand * the planetary stations along Baltimore * statues, sculptures, murals * license plates from different states * pictures taken fr...

Re: New Broadway Bridge
I don't know if I am looking at it correctly, but it looks like northbound 35 at the NW corner of the bluffs has the right lane as the through lane and the 6th St/Broadway exit on the left? If I'm looking at it right then technically that left lane is still the thru-lane, since in addition to the 6...

Hawaiian Bros opened in the old Allen Chevrolet dealer at Armour/Burlington. The building has been completely renovated into multiple retail/office spaces. Did a nice job on the restaurant space in the large, former showroom at the front of the building along Armour. Have tried the Huli Huli and Ho...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)
I don’t know how long it’s been there since I haven’t been on I-35 after dark in a bit but the new Chiefs lighting on the west side of the hotel was a nice surprise on my drive home tonight. (Wasn’t able to get a pic due too… driving.)

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
(I know this is getting off-topic for Streetcar.) I don't remember if they did this for the Royals parade but there is a crew out right now setting up temporary No Parking signs along both sides of Main in the general area of the Federal Reserve. There is some roadwork in the area (which they hopefu...

Pricing looks fair.
>Patreon doesn't show an annual option.
I prefer monthly myself. I won't notice $5 a month being gone. Having $50-$60 disappear all at once after enough time has passed for me to forget all about it might annoy me.

Once Kauffman Center was built we lost the only spot we could have put a stadium that would have a striking skyline view.

Re: New Broadway Bridge
Also, it's surprising to me but I see a lot of folks walking down the median - far too many. Always wonder where one would be walking to/from along that stretch. It's residents of the Holiday apartments (the former motel on Harlem Rd). Many of them don't have cars, and bus service there is virtuall...

Re: 14th and Wyandotte Tower
It looks like someone submitted a 311 report on December 10 about the fence removal and an inspector went out on December 19. Such a hazard should not be taking this long to resolve.
