St. Louis (City) Not Losing Population after all!

are you related to nota? Yes post here. My point was if we posted KC stuff at that place, we would expect replies to have something to do with STL since it is a STL board...we wouldn't whine about it like some have on here. Of course we don't feel the need to prove what's going on in KC to the STL b...

St. Louis (City) Not Losing Population after all!

arguing always brings more conversation than just talking about development....everybody knows that. Everybody has said you guys are free to post here...we like it. What the comment that got everybody is somebody said how these end up with some comparisions to KC and they didn't like that. I notice ...

Westport needs some help

I'm not sure....I could see it as a benefit. I've seen hooters in a lot of unique areas.

and they have a dome. I see no problem with it facing a little east of north....downtown looming in left field, some new towers around Western Auto building in center, Crown Center behind....cool stuff.

Bustling downtown feel

great story DMW. I love running into those people and listening in on their conversations. Somebody should do a documentary following them.

How true of KC is this statement?

akp...I don't agree with that. When I tell people I'm from KC, they bring up the Chiefs/Royals/BBQ/Plaza...never say wow that's a cowtown or act like it's a small place. Come on.

Bustling downtown feel

yeah I know but it didn't really make sense so I tried to change it around. English is wonderful, you can plug words any where you want.

Plus I was drinking so it probably made sense last night.....oh well. It's not a term paper.

it actually wouldn't be a problem at all to go from the P&L district (14th street) garages to this location which is 20th street (approx.).

A nice trolley system circling the downtown area would help too....nudge, nudge to Grid.

Bustling downtown feel

yeah familiarity breeds content. That's why I think it's a lot of just being familiar with the surroundings and I don't notice it...but when I'm in a new city, everything is new, sights, sounds, buildings, streets. That's why I think I don't feel it in the Lou, I've been there too many times. No dou...

Here's what somebody needs to propose for the Great plains energy home. This proposal in Nashville:

Bustling downtown feel

Walking around downtown I find one of the biggest things missing from our downtown is just that "bustling" feel. I'm not sure to describe it other than just a lot of noise in the streets from cars, construction, horns, etc. It just isn't there. I understand that with more people this will ...

How true of KC is this statement?

I'm sure it's been said in here but I haven't read fully. A lot of it comes from where people are migrating from. It used to be only smaller cities. Now we are getting a lot of implants from larger cities (according to MARC's migration study) so attitudes will start to change. KC is big league and w...

St. Louis (City) Not Losing Population after all!

I have a theory that the "hatred" towards STL comes from people who pretty much grew up on the KS side.....it's just a theory I'm putting together. I imagine them like in some bar fight KC and STL staring each other down and there is this little guy (KS side) jumping around bigger KC point...
