Re: Union Carbide building to become condos

...and we're back. Anyone have any new/updated info on this project? I notice that two units are listed for sale, however a quick search of Jackson County sales records seems to indicate that the vast majority (if not all) of the units are still owned by the developer. I wonder how the parking situa...

Re: beer.

Coffee Ale is pretty good. Not heavy like all the other coffee beers. A little pricey though. Joe, what'd you pay? It's $8.49 at Cosentino's. $6.50 for a 10 ounce glass at a locally owned bar. Gonna have to check out Hy-Vee and get a bottle or two. Ahh, understood. These limited editions always see...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

We have had this discussion a few times on this thread, but I'm becoming more interested in taking it to the next level (whatever that may be). KCMO owns the three lots highlighted in the image below. With the streetcar coming through soon the City is sitting on a gold mine. So I ask: 1. What would...

I'm not a very good food/drink reviewer, but I'll give it a try. I like'd it alot. :D Its not a stout or porter so its a bit of a different take on the coffee beer(ale), but I would definitely say it is a welcome change of pace. Anyone had their sour beer? its currently a "test" brew in t...

Re: Generic ongoing KCATA thread

if you want to see another bad map where they didn't try to follow the map before publishing it http://www.kcata.org/images/uploads/230mwk.gif the key issue is they put 152 hwy in the wrong spot. As such they have the 431 route taking imaginary ramps and they have Prairie View taking an imaginary u...

I've also heard that the funds for GSA to move downtown are tied to Congress passing an actual budget. Which makes me nervous.

Re: New Downtown YMCA

With the Old Fed building going up for auction, I see it actually becoming marketable again as office space for all the federal agencies coming downtown. The building is in relatively good shape, and has dedicated parking. Without venturing too far off topic, is there any chance GSA moves into the ...
