idiot! Has this guy even been downtown STL? Downtown STL doesn't need Ballpark Village for revitalization... nesflash... that has already happened! To each his/her own I guess... I'm not sure if the elliptical thing helps or hurts. (*,) It has only made St. Louis one of the most recognizable skyline in the world. Interesting. I would like to see them do some hybrid system in KC. I think LRT is the way to go ---- but only right-away and some tunneling/elevated. STL's system is completely run like heavy rail and iutilizes new and old subway tunnels and has been built "right" for light-rail. I hate L...

Re: St. Louis planning next MetroLink extension
i agree it looks great and was a good route, but is it any faster than it was when it first opened? Most definatley. I ride the Shrewsbury / I-44 line everyday to downtown from the Galleria station. It takes me about 5 minutes to Forest Park - and then another 8 minutes to downtown. The line is ...

I know in St. Louis BODY WORLDS 3 is on exhibit from now until the end of March 2008. There is some 'controversy over these types of exhibits - but for the most part they do pretty well. Body Worlds is on their third run. http://www.bodyworlds.com/images/842.jpeg http://www.bodyworlds.com/en.html

I know it will be a great place for "something else", but this place is a legend in KC's past and present - sad to see it go. I WANT THAT SIGN THOUGH!!!! If anyone knows what will happen to the sign - let me know!! Thanks! http://farm1.static.flickr.com/143/383659369_716ffd47a0.jpg?v=11709...

Wow, sorry....
I thought I was being quite objective and pointing out what my "experience" is on both areas. I am really taken back and feel I just wasted a big chunk of time.
Sorry, won't post again.

Re: Mercantile District St. Louis.
Oh, good grief... one of these threads. The worst thing to do in a case like this is ... compare stats and numbers overall. Stats are useless when it comes to revitalization IMO. Revitalization comes in forms of huge developments... yet true revitalization happens at street level, attitudes, and wit...
