Oh my. First I'd seen or heard of that. I'll light up the bahua signal if nobody's heard from him. Someone's gon need to look at the logs, and as far as I know I can't.

Re: Forum is slow/unresponsive

It seems like we've discussed this before, but I'm unable to view content from before a certain date (I was trying to view the Law Building thread and it gives me error 500). Is that stuff just lost? Thx. Seems this has been fixed! Not for me. Looks like posts from before 2007 are still error 500.

Re: Westport

It's important to note that Westport is a big liquor policy conundrum for the city. There's a carveout for density of liquor licenses -- which is at its peak -- so moving bars to other neighborhoods would mean they'd be replaced by more bars because of the perceived demand (and TBH few neighborhoods...

Re: Misc Crossroads News

The Miracle pop-up stuff is happening at several bars nationwide. I suspect its provided by a distributor or national brand and allows each bar to customize. We went once. It was neat, but I don't need to drink inside a box of christmas ornaments more than once a year.

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

OKC's "4.6 mile" line is actually about half that distance. They, like Cincinnati and Atlanta, are counting the track length since these systems operate as a loop using different streets in each direction. The longest distance you can travel on the OKC streetcar in one direction is just under 2 mile...

Another way to put it is that a project won't happen in this town w/out it. At least surface lot reduction is improving compared to other cities.
But we don't have to subsidize parking at a higher rate than we do transit.
