Re: City Center Square for sale

A sidewalk facing space even better, with no seating but within public seating. Downtown doesn't seem to have many spaces structured for that, which is more common in larger cities along busy pedestrian stretches.

Re: City Center Square for sale

Wrap it Up is decent counter eats (like the breakfast burrito) and downtown loop lacks enough cheap ethnic counter eats. Hope they find a spot, maybe across from old Mark Twain building.

Re: KC Bike share

I tried to check out ebikes several times today and none would work. Said the bike is unavailable at this time or something like that. The app should also support Google/Apple Pay as kind of a pain to enter CC info while standing at bikes.

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

We hit the diner last weekend and it was still same 'liver/onions' type menu and everything ordered excessively overcooked, which is fine for octogenarians who like that but thought they mentioned adapting to 'changing tastes' of neighborhood. Is menu changing? If not, City Diner is place for classi...

Re: Rankings, lists, and such

KC metro ranks well for brain gain and above average for Millenial growth 'living in downtown areas'. Brain gain maybe because we don't have large universities to lose grads. Might be different if KU part of metro. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/WgSBMAY5nN9h8JnoE6VIciTuU-s37I93IlKAwa320oOSIEsJi9i...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Would think DT Alamo will make some adjustments given Cinemark closing. As the industry is becoming another victim of the Internet age (like book stores, record stores, video stores, etc), they'll exist as a smaller specialized niche than mainstream (like book stores and record stores).

Re: Sprint sale rumors again

If merger isn't approved perhaps the only eligible mega company that could take on Sprint's debt is Comcast/NBC/Universal. Sprint's 5G potential would allow Comcast to enter new markets as a home ISP. Softbank may dump Sprint cheap enough for Comcast to take interest. Possible but maybe not realisti...

Does anyone know what happened? I assume osha will have words. A horrible, horrible accident that needs to be studied. How anyone can be in a position for this to happen is unacceptable. I assume they've hallted all work? Sad no matter the cause. He was supposed to be working on 8th floor and they ...

Re: OFFICIAL - Hampton Inn (16th & Main)

The design has more visual variation than the typical Lego block trend (5/6th Grand as well), with appropriate sidewalk integration. One of the few that turned out as good or better than the renderings. Interior of the Sbux rather bland but can be easily changed over time. More of these with differe...
