Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

I do not see anything not shown in the renderings. I think the exterior design of this building will be better received than the Cordish apartments. I was surprised in seeing this from the intersection of 13th & Wyandotte. Even though you could never actually see 670 from there, seeing this hotel fr...

Re: STL MLS proposal resurrection

It is ironic that those who campaigned against KC's Sprint Center want to build a stadium on the other side of the state with tax incentive financing.

Looks like they are falling behind schedule. No way they can put up two floors on the parking/meeting structure in 2 weeks.

Then how did Cordish get a uniform look by using different architects?

It is to show what the exterior finishes will look like. They have something similar at the Gallerie site and have done it for just about every building put up at Crown Center.

Too bad the Nest cam is in the wrong position to get a view of the maquettes they have put up of the exterior finishes.

Re: OFFICIAL - The Gallerie (27th & Gillham)

I like the dark cladding on the upper section facing McGee. The rowhouses have a very shallow back to front foundations. Looks like they may do some interesting terraced landscaping. Room enough on Gilham for a double row of trees.

That dark grey precast installed on Baltimore is somewhat foreboding. Not very pedestrian friendly, would make me want to walk on other side of street.

They certainly hit the exact mark on the Liberty Memorial-Kauffman Center view shed. From either point the other appears to sit on the roof of ARTerra.

Re: Uptown Shoppes

Keeping parking for the Uptown is vital for that venue. Some performance nights parking spills over into the neighborhood. You might think something dense built up next to Broadway was torn down for the strip mall, but it replaced something actually less dense, an old mansion. I think the stone wall...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

A very good view of the construction is now visible from the Liberty Memorial deck. It is apparent that due to the tower being set back somewhat from Baltimore that only the lower western section of the P & L bldng will be obstructed from the south.
