There will be a 3 floor setback on the south end, when you see that you will know the summit is at hand.

The mobile crane was used to lift steel roof trusses to the top of the meeting space wing. Since there is no floor above to support, trusses were faster and lesss expensive.

Devotees of the KCP & L Blding should rest assured now that the Loew's will not significantly affect the view of the bldng from the LM deck. From the west of the LM tower the height of the hotel will only graze the second setback. From east of the tower the entire east silhouette of KCPL down to the...

Looks like the new drainage on the east side is working. There are small ice waterfalls at the built in drain holes on the side of the hill. The sidewalk appears ice free.

Withholding judgement until completion of course, but it is remarkable that the similar shaped and sized Westin looks less heavy and more graceful.

That odd bump out on the northwest side is in a different position than shown in any of the renderings. What is its purpose other than to make a few rooms a foot or two larger? Aesthetically it seems nonsensical.

The load bearing structure of this building has been compromised due to termite and carpenter ants to the point it is unsafe.

Coming out the north entrance of Kauffman Center the meeting/parking structure is massive. Almost like a hulking modern sibling of Municipal Auditorium. It really is too bad that Kaufman Center faces south not north.

There is a Slovenian church in KCK adjoining Strawberry Hill, although the Slovenes and Croats never liked each other even when they came here.
