Re: Politics

That's pretty simplistic but we'll skip that discussion and get to the important part, which is what "things" do you think they're "sure of"? That we're not in World War III yet. This is really a cowardly answer. You're either in favor of the content of those "papers" (otherwise known as Executive ...

Re: Politics

Oh, so like the final 7 years and 10 months of his presidency? Yes. What investors hate is uncertainty. So the more sure they are of things, the more likely the stock market will go up. But the stability of the stock market isn't the only thing I use to judge how a president is doing. As far as Don...

Re: Politics

I need more time before I make a judgement one way or the other. However, I am pleased with the stock market so far. One week in and the stock market doesn't have that "doom and gloom" feeling that some predicted. I don't judge the performance of the president solely on the stock market. Is that a s...

Yeah, I don't really see many changes from Andy Reid when what he has doesn't work. He seems to stick to things no matter what.

Re: P&L District 10 years later

Pros: best watch parties in a downtown environment Sprint Center being right next door adds to the success Westport is still alive and well Even though some may be chains, there are still some very unique places. Cons: Needs more businesses that downtown residents would use daily Trying to remember ...

Re: TIME TO FREAK OUT AGAIN ABOUT CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT! THE BIG 12 IS DEAD! MAYBE!

Lets see how many future B12 tourney's KC gets. Well, considering the Big 12 has already agreed to have the tournament for at least 4 more years in KC, I say it's very likely KC will host future Big 12 tourneys. That is a huge event that is definitely at risk....even if it comes back at, it will be...

How has KC's "economic side of the sports world" been negatively impacted by Mizzou's move to the SEC?

Re: TIME TO FREAK OUT AGAIN ABOUT CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT! THE BIG 12 IS DEAD! MAYBE!

I believe Mizzou was "middle of the pack" in recruiting for the first few years. Back-to-back SEC East titles and a couple of bowl wins should have help to sustain that. By the time Mizzou won it's 2nd SEC East title, the team had less than 20% of players who were recruited while Mizzou was still in...

Re: TIME TO FREAK OUT AGAIN ABOUT CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT! THE BIG 12 IS DEAD! MAYBE!

Missouri did OK in its second and third years in the SEC while it still had recruits from the B12 days (and an extremely weak SEC East certainly helped) but the program has declined with predictable results since (just as I predicted at least). I think the crap going on at Mizzou AND the fact can't...

Re: Politics

His record is mostly a lot of talk. He doesn't have many actions for me to judge him by. Until he does something as president, we have no idea what kind of president he'll be. For all we know, he could be a very liberal president. Or maybe he'll be a babbling clown. Who can say for sure at this poin...

Re: Politics

I literally gave you a list of links to articles about things that are already happening. And I gave a link to a video that pretty much sums up where I'm coming from. If somebody tells you they want to do something horrible and then you wait until they actually do it to respond, it's already too la...

Re: Politics

Many of them are already afraid of the police--even before Trump entered the presidential race. And who was president when Trump entered the race? If minorities were feeling afraid while Obama was president, is there any wonder why Trump won? As far as the LGBT community goes, Trump said at the GOP...

Re: Politics

When Obama got elected, my conservative friends said "he's going to take our guns away and close Gitmo." Eight years later, none of that happened. Why should women and minorities "be terrified" right now? All of the women are going to be raped and forced to keep their babies? All minorities are goin...
